  1. GRAMPA DAN "INSPIRED" Sign Holder

Your work is stellar, as always Charlie. I'm working on my first foam piece currently in between everything else I have going on. I'll shoot it your way when it's finished for a critique :)
  2. World Wrap Challenge - World Record Set

It was a contest. It wasn't for a client. They were attempting to set a world record. Actually kind of a cool idea - but like Colorado said - I'm thinking that any two of us who actually do this a bit could beat the record set. Hell - turn Chris and Adam loose on it and I'm guessing it would be...
  3. Felt like doing some drawing tonight...

I didn't see it before, but I do now! My subconscious must have added it...
  4. Felt like doing some drawing tonight...

A couple of hours worth of sketch/pen&ink.
  5. Just Got a big job

If it is a recurring job, AND you have a contract for it, you may seriously want to consider looking at this as an opportunity to go with some type of flatbed.
  6. Laminator Options?

I love my RS - although I may be switching to a Seal soon - as our workload is increasing and the Seal is better at high speeds and R2R.
  7. QR codes - please weigh in

All depends on how it is used. Linking to your website, etc is simply silly. For some industries it is great (realtors, fashion brands, etc). They should be used to drive specific campaigns, and created with measurable properties. I've only seen one I stance of them being used on a business...
  8. First "real" wrap

Looks really good man! As far as doing the entire side in one piece, I actually do that on cars. Not on vans though. I also recommend not doing it with the type of color shift that you have happening in that wrap. All in all though, you did great. As for it being back breaking work, it can be...
  9. Frosted window film with intricate design installation

I'm not saying mistakes don't happen - they have bit all of us once or twice (or two or three dozen times). However, I'm not willing to compromise the overall integrity of the job because occasionally things will go wrong. That's just my experience and the way I do things. End of the day - a...
  10. Frosted window film with intricate design installation

If you've properly prepped your installation surface, and know how to align and properly tape and hinge graphics, then there shouldn't be any "trash", and you shouldn't need to lift. If it is super windy outside on the day you are installing, i could see possibly going wet, but personally...
  11. Frosted window film with intricate design installation

I truly don't understand all of the calls for wet application. Maybe for a huge graphic (4'x8' or larger) and a 1 person application, I can understand wet - but otherwise - dry all the way.
  12. Peak banner material from Fellers

I use it every season for grad banners. Other than that - Ultraflex.
  13. how long do you guarantee your wraps????

Good thing I wrapped my head in duct tape before the last time it assploded....
  14. how long do you guarantee your wraps????

    My head just assploded..... :cool1:
  15. installing perf

I know a lot of people hate it, but I use Solvex - never have any issues with conformability, and I tell every customer that they should plan on replacing their perf every 18-24 months anyways...
  16. how long do you guarantee your wraps????

Ya'll are arguing semantics. Let me boil it down for ya :) Don't give the client shoddy work. If you wrap something, and it's popping, call the client and explain that there has been a delay, and the vehicle won't be ready until "x". Before starting a wrap business, GO WORK IN A WRAP...
  17. Do you Laminate or not?

If you are that worried about it, use a sheet of. Coro as a sled.
