I used to hand trace allot but before scanning in the computer, overtop a light table, i would hand cut everything using and exacto knife and rubylith film. Then i would scan the ruby and it would make a for a really crisp vector file. Cool video.

For me, interior display signs should always be a little more expensive. They require allot more attention. I just wipe them with a dust cloth (like Swiffer), two, three and even four times over.

If you must laminate a banner. Waterbased Cleashield is the best IMO. Use a decent quality paint roller. Before dipping it in the liquid, roll it over a couple of pieces of scrap vinyl (adhesive side!). Then lay down some laminate evenly over your banner.

That's risky and it's up to you if you are a gambling man. If you are looking at full time help you would have better piece of mind if they were on the books and you paying workers compensation (accidents do happen!). If you just need a pair of hands here and there then i don't see a problem...

Eyeball is the only way to go with these vans ... There are no lines to follow that will make it look straight. As soon as you follow one line you will notice other lines make it look off balance. :noway:

Nice and simple. Looks good. Only thing i would do to this is reduce the letter size on the tailgate ... or ... Add the logo on the left hand side of the tailgate, right hand side put the web and phone number together and for the window ... A photo, or photo montage of...

When i letter a van like this i always "eyeball" the graphic to make it look level. I would have secured one part of the graphic and when positioning the next one .. I would use either a wooden yard stick or a lengthy piece of scrap coroplast to follow the same line.

Stacy got it ... Your prints are to fresh. If you must apply so soon after printing .. You should pre-mask the whole thing before aplying it to a substrate. But keep in mind .. Cheaper vinyls will shrink while they are drying. So if you have heavy coverage along the border of your sign. Print...

If i need to paint this type of material, i put two coats of oil based enamel. Sanding lightly between coats. Has worked well so far.

Have you ever tried this: - Create new window - Place your file (Uncheck "Link") - Select all your objects - Click on "Expand Appearance" in the Objects menu Not 100% foolproof but it works often.
