There are plenty of memorable logos out there that are just text and not a symbol representing the company...
  2. Mimaki Plotter- Blades

Do you use different degree blades for different materials? We utilize the same blade for all materials, and have been manufacturing a lot of cut vinyl. I assume this is normal wear but just wanted to get some suggestions. Also, I was just one eBay and the prices are significantly less then...
  3. Mimaki Plotter- Blades

We use 60degree, titanium Mimaki blades for our plotter. It seems recently that I have to replace the blade every few months or so. Would love some input as to how often others are replacing their blades and your set of circumstances. Thanks!

  6. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

thanks everyone for the insight. I'm surprised that if this is such a common issue with the Jv3s that the tech didn't know immediately what the problem was. I did run a 4pass uni this morning and it looked fine in normal print speed, once I bumped it to fast the issue was very apparent. At...
  7. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

Yes, it's very noticeable in the Cyan, and the job we're printing is a 60 C 40 M 10 Y 0 K background which makes it SUPER noticeable. I tried my best to get some better shots from our prints the previous 2 days.
  8. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

I run MOST of our jobs at an 8 pass, bidirectional as you said. And I would have to think you are correct in saying that it is occurring on the 8th pass since it's about an inch down the material. We're currently running a job in normal speed, 16 pass and the issue is still there just not so...
  9. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

Vertical banding was due to too much heat and the material tunneling, as a few of you suggested. When the tech was here the first time, he mentioned that our heat settings were too high. I had never adjusted them from when I took over because they worked. So shortly after he left, I lowered...

Can you read my most recent post about my Jv3 and let me know what you think?

Can you read my most recent post about my Jv3 and let me know what you think?
  11. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

forgot to mention, I originally thought that it was only happening with Cyan, but once we started doing test prints we found that it's universal and it happens in a pattern (like I said every 1").
  12. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

Ok, so here's the big :banghead: If you've read my previous threads, you'd see we're having a slew of issues but the most recent problems have risen after we had a technician come in for "preventive maintenance", which is now taking on a while new meaning, on our Jv3. So, down to the reason...
  13. Still having issues

It seemed like this was the most logical explanation, so I dropped the settings again (had done it when the tech was here) and it has seemed to eliminate the vertical color issue. Thank you everyone. I still have the tech coming back to take a look at the horizontal "banding" issue. If he...
  14. Onyx "data starvation" / Raster question

I tried this, with no luck. Too much loss and the issue was still there. Maybe it's not the same problem.
  15. Still having issues

I did, and will try that again as it seems the strip has been the cause of many of my issues recently. Thanks.
  16. Still having issues

I know what you're saying about the pinch rollers, but it's not that. It's not inline with the actual rollers it's in between or in the gaps. I tried to take a few more pictures, but it's really hard to capture with the lighting and coating on the material. It's not completely missing, the...
  17. Feed Comp Problem?

Can you be more specific on how/why they didn't match?
  18. Still having issues

And, it's not really the same issue. My original problem was a horizontal "banding" type of issue, where it would lay a few passes and then look like it skipped a pass and continue... I, so far, have eliminated this problem. This is now a vertical "something's on the material" type of look...
  19. Still having issues

But nothings changed. I'm using the same material, same profiles, same RIP program, same RIP process... How could it just change without some element changing it?
  20. Still having issues

My Jv3 is giving me nothing but headaches recently. :banghead: I had a technician come in and do "preventative maintenance" by replacing Cyan printhead (needed it), and worn parts (new capping station, pump, dampers). Everything seemed to be working fine while he was here. Now, I'm...
