  1. Need Help Cutting a circle graphic that is laminated

Interesting. In that case I would probably switch to a 60* blade. 45* is for basic cutting but the 60* blade is specifically used for thicker materials.
  2. Need Help Cutting a circle graphic that is laminated

Is this happening on all jobs? If so i would suspect a bad cut blade holder or cut protection strip.
  3. Z6200 rendering intent when printer manages colors?

Rendering intent tells the RIP which method to use to convert the colors. Relative Colorimetric is pretty much standard but some people choose different ones depending on what outcome they want. Absolute Colorimetric: Uses the original file's white point and tries to stay true to the original...
  4. Suggestions DigiPrint eMax Inks Experience?

You might want to go with a US company for reliability sake. We sell the Bordeaux brand of inks if you are interested. They are plug and print with no flushing necessary. There are also about 20 other options out there for 3rd party ink in the US which might work out better for you.
  5. Ink Smear Mutoh 1204

That's a fried head. When it comes to over spray that looks like this it's pretty much always and electrical issue internal to the head. You can change the head cables and clean the terminals which might fix the issue but in my many years as a certified tech I have never seen a head print like...
  6. Color Issues

Your color profile is probably just not suited for that material. When you send 100% yellow to the RIP and color correction is turned on, the RIP reinterprets it based on the color profile you chose. So 100% yellow can become 92% yellow, 5% cyan, 1% magenta, and 0% black. That little bit of...
  7. Question UCJV300 white ink cracking

The Mimaki lamps don't have an adjustment for intensity just position. Your humidity is right at the bottom end of the machine's spec. Maybe that has something to do with it. Possibly just a bad ink batch though.

Hi ledhead, 99% of the time when a card is declined on our site it is due to either a daily limit set by your bank or it is an international card. Feel free to give us a call and I can let you know what the system says yous was declined for. Thanks!
  9. Question On Print/Cut which one is better?

The truth of the matter is that the split between Latex users and Solvent users is about 50/50 if you look at market share reports. Will be interesting to see where things go from here. My bet is everything becomes UV in the next 20 years.
  10. New Guy New to everything, hopefully not for long.

Piezo is just the technology the heads use which is a quartz crystal based system. HP for example uses heat instead to fire a dot of ink. In general if the resolutions that are on the spec sheet for the printer are divisible by 180 (180, 360, 540, 720, 1080, 1440) it's an Epson head and if they...
  11. Need Help Roland dx4 Printhead Flush HELP!

As much as I would like to bash my competitor, that contraption is the proper way to flush a head according to the manufacturers. Not that you are wrong though. Any time you mix fluid and electronics there is going to be a risk but it's up to each person. I have customers who run 15 machines and...
  12. Need Help Roland dx4 Printhead Flush HELP!

You got it. Usually I push lightly until I see solution bubble out of the bottom. Then I push harder until it starts to spry out and then don't push harder once I see it spraying. You will be able to tell which nozzles are firing and which are't by the spray.
  13. New Guy New to everything, hopefully not for long.

Welcome! I can't help you with the laser cutting stuff but the owner of this forum also runs a CNC forum so hopefully some of the new members he brought over can help with that. As far as printers go, you want to avoid ones that use Epson based heads which pretty much rules out Roland and Mutoh...
  14. Question On Print/Cut which one is better?

This is Mutoh's philosophy as well which is why they don't offer one. That being said, we are Mutoh and Mimaki dealers and we sell probably 20 Mimaki print and cuts for every Mutoh printer with separate cutter. We have a lot of smaller shops as customers or people simply working out of their...
  15. Frosted and printable

I'm not sure if this is what it is but Rowmark has a 1/32" thick matte clear ADA plastic that kind of looks like that. Might have been printed on a flatbed or even screen printed.
  16. Service Error 0110

The Roland one says "Roland" on the box it comes in and that's about it.
  17. How to return Roland Printer

Exactly. I like to bash on Roland just because they have given me trouble through the years but at the end of the day they are in it to make quality machines and not screw people. People tend to take it out on the entire brand when they have a bad experience which is understandable. But anytime...
  18. Opinion Never really happened before to me.............

  19. VJ1204 Ink issue

That error means the head is jammed. Take a look around the maintenance station and make sure nothing is keeping the head from moving. I would also unlock the head and move it back and forth manually. See if you can feel anything off. It could also be an encoder strip issue but since you just...
  20. File Management

For me it's more about reducing the clutter. I get ADD looking at all the files and tend to get lost. The less complicated it is the better for me. I have been getting more into automating things with Python so that is definitely an option!
