It's from media buckling. Next time you are printing get down at the same level as the platen and you will see the vinyl popping up in certain areas. The two main causes of this are crooked media and heat settings are too high for the vinyl. Make sure to load the material as straight as possible...
The most important thing is surge protection. After that the battery backup is more of a luxury. The only thing I can see happening is you setup the printer to print while you are gone and the power goes out while the head is still out of the docking area. In that case the head could dry up but...
That 3rd tube should connect to the 3rd whole in the cap top. If it's not connected, the maintenance station won't pull ink down and will instead pull air.
They are called TFP print heads and this part number should get you where you need to go: FA12082
Contact compassmicro.com who are the official Epson parts supplier for the US. Sometimes they can't sell heads for certain models but they might be a good source.
Once that cable is detached the head is basically cooked. It's not a normal soldered on cable. Also, they don't really sell those gaskets outside of new heads so if it is leaking you are out of luck there too. If you get it going let us know but unfortunately I am not betting on it.
You need to do test cuts and set the settings for your vinyl. I could tell you that when I cut laminated vinyl the force tends to be around the 100 gram mark but that is basically useless because I am not cutting the laminated vinyl that you are. One tip that might help you out though, blade...
On that model it's called half cut. Look in your tool settings and scroll through all of them and you will see it is one of the options. The user manual has a run down of how to set it up.
That looks like either a network issue or file size issue. If you are using a hub or switch I would connect the printer directly to the RIP computer and try that to see if anything improves. If it does, your network hardware is malfunctioning. If it still has issues I would change the cable just...
Most plotters will allow you to manually create a registration mark in your design software. I'm not sure which model plotter you are using but you should be able to look up the mark specs and create them in your design software. Then you just add them to the file and print like normal and cut...
I thought they had it on there like Mutoh does but guess not. I would contact your local dealer and see if they can supply it for you. Mimaki recently made us all sign an NDA so I am not allowed to just give it out over the internet but a dealer you work closely with should be able to help you...
Right click the production manager icon and then click "Properties". A window will pop up and in that window there will be a tab called, "Compatibility". Click on that and it will give you options to run the program in older versions of windows.
Oh believe me I understand the industry and all of the newbies coming in and undercutting everyone. My job for the last 10 years has entailed going to sign shops all over the country so I see my fair share of top quality shops and also the guys working out of their garage selling banners for $1...
