I'm getting this error message for the first time ever. Co-incidentally (or not) it's the first time we've tried to cut something over 53" which I think the manual states you need 3 pairs of marks. We cut many other files this very day. But they all had two pairs of marks. Is there something...

Ok, so my tech tells me there are only so many "shots" or "firings" in the life of any print head. My question is what constitutes a "shot"? In theory if you were printing a rectangle of say, red 1" deep by 54" wide, and the heads are putting down 1/8" of pattern with each pass, is that 8...

The Summa cutters are reknown for their accuracy and speed. The OPOS system allows for you to print on a different machine and cut on the Summa.

It's a huge improvement. Quick question though. I hear posters on here calling the "kitchen and bath" a tag line. Aren't those words a part of the name, proper? Isn't a tag line more of a descriptive thing, like "remodeling with a flair". (assuming this is a remodeler and not a retailer...

About a week back they sent one that had three check boxes. One for color profile, one for a media profile or something or other and another one. I at first tried to uncheck all three and hit okay, but it wouldn't allow that. Can't remember what exactly I did, but ultimately got a workaround...

Does anyone know why so many updates come through from Roland. Seems like we've gotten three in the last week. Are there that many new medias being introduced that they have to update color profiles so often? Is it primarily for the Versaworks RIP? Are these possibly "fixes" to the firmware?

Techman has a point here, I think. When our customers view our work as simply "signs by the pound" rather than the custom crafted work it really is, it's "value" is diminished. (in the eyes of that consumer) And like the Big K, Target, and Walmart's of the world, the name of the game then...
