  1. What's this................................. ??

Sometimes I wish we could go back to the time of rotary phones. You can never say you're comfortable with a given level of technology and stand pat. Technology just drags us along in its wake. Not so sure I'm better off now.
  2. HELP for SP540V

Tape on a piece of scrap. We've done it. Another trick related to running out of media is the rear Interrupt Sensor. Printer will stop feeding when media clears the opening on right rear of platen. Cover with a piece of masking tape and it will keep printing. We run the exact same printer.
  3. Embroidery on Driver's Uniform

Wrong. Embroidering a pre-made suit punctures ALL the layers. Not something I'd even consider. And plain shoelaces on your nomex shoes is a no-no. Not a good thing to jump out of a burning wreck only to have your shoe laces blazing. There are SFI specs that go hand in hand with sanctioning...
  4. Printing issue sp300v help desperately needed

Try cleaning the encoder strip with a microfiber cloth. Encoder strip is a thin piece of plastic above the carriage rails. Take your time and be careful.
  5. Industrial CNC

They're a couple hours away from me. Milwaukee...IIRC. Funny thing is they look EXACTLY like these: http://cncmogul.com/ Only difference I can see is the paint color. A bit odd, no? Hmmm...I think Circleville on here has a Mogul. (brain is failing me this a.m.)
  6. Stripe Kits

You're welcome to try. Whole different mindset up here when it comes to spending serious money on a "sticker".(we've had that comment more than once) Upper midwest is ultra conservative when it comes to spending money on advertising. I've bet other shop owners 50 bucks and give them an hour...
  7. Industrial CNC

You'll want a ring blower(regenerative) for vacuum. They are made to run 24/7/365. Like this: http://www.fpz.com/
  8. mirror chrome vehicle wrap

    Thanks for the info.
  9. HP L25500 just exploded

No need to worry about tension. By the looks of the device it takes care of itself.
  10. Stripe Kits

Perfectly acceptable. Sometimes I get caught up in my world and try to apply it to other businesses. Your business model is much different than mine. You have to cover for 7 people. I just need to cover for myself and the wife.(and the shop dog) Wraps around here are nearly non-existent so...
  11. Stripe Kits

Ding ding! Collect your prize.:bushmill: I love the small jobs. Fast turn, nice profit and near zero headaches.
  12. Wrap advice on an old van

A full wrap will cover up a lot of "issues". As far as casting a bad light on your business here is what I learned. Over the years we've run into clients that have bought new shop vehicles. They worked hard and earned them. Certain clients didn't think so and balked that they were being...
  13. Yo............. everybody......................

Back at ya! Have a great turkey day Gino.
  14. Stripe Kits

I'll take $300 jobs all day long. Love to see huge shops like yours. The bigger the better. By the time your receptionist would answer a single question you're already behind. We thrive on small quick turn jobs.
  15. Stripe Kits

    Perfect! :thumb: Some peoples kids...
  16. mirror chrome vehicle wrap

Love the truck!:thumb: Gotta ask how much of a beast was it to apply the cut chrome?
  17. Made an imgur album of the hour it takes for our black to crap out.

Good suggestion to start with^^^ You may have the tiniest of air leaks. A bad o-ring on the manifold or line would be my guess. Could be as simple as a bad ink bladder in the cartridge too.
  18. Stripe Kits

Here ya go: https://www.phoenixgraphix.com/gm/2010crs.php They have tons more too.
  19. Paint protection for race car leading edges

Not removable like Plasti-Dip, but a lot more durable. Dependent on how you spray different finishes from smooth to textured can be obtained. Normally the paint will chip and the chip guard will not get damaged.(if you paint over the top). My preference is to shoot the base/clear then the...
  20. Scratch & Sniff

IIRC 3M invented the technology.(microspheres that encapsulate the scent) May want to start there. (not much help I know)
