Sometimes I wish we could go back to the time of rotary phones. You can never say you're comfortable with a given level of technology and stand pat. Technology just drags us along in its wake.
Not so sure I'm better off now.
Tape on a piece of scrap. We've done it.
Another trick related to running out of media is the rear Interrupt Sensor. Printer will stop feeding when media clears the opening on right rear of platen. Cover with a piece of masking tape and it will keep printing.
We run the exact same printer.
Wrong. Embroidering a pre-made suit punctures ALL the layers. Not something I'd even consider. And plain shoelaces on your nomex shoes is a no-no. Not a good thing to jump out of a burning wreck only to have your shoe laces blazing.
There are SFI specs that go hand in hand with sanctioning...
Try cleaning the encoder strip with a microfiber cloth. Encoder strip is a thin piece of plastic above the carriage rails. Take your time and be careful.
They're a couple hours away from me. Milwaukee...IIRC.

A full wrap will cover up a lot of "issues".
As far as casting a bad light on your business here is what I learned. Over the years we've run into clients that have bought new shop vehicles. They worked hard and earned them. Certain clients didn't think so and balked that they were being...
I'll take $300 jobs all day long. Love to see huge shops like yours. The bigger the better. By the time your receptionist would answer a single question you're already behind.
We thrive on small quick turn jobs.
Good suggestion to start with^^^
You may have the tiniest of air leaks. A bad o-ring on the manifold or line would be my guess. Could be as simple as a bad ink bladder in the cartridge too.
Not removable like Plasti-Dip, but a lot more durable. Dependent on how you spray different finishes from smooth to textured can be obtained. Normally the paint will chip and the chip guard will not get damaged.(if you paint over the top).
My preference is to shoot the base/clear then the...
