Have you tried a different media? Such as vinyl, if it does it on an alternate media then it's not media related.
I believe the 540 has an adjustable head height, have you tried changing that?
My Graphtec FC-4100 acted up once like what you are describing, the culprit was a tiny piece of lint inside the blade holder. I would inspect the blade holder thoroughly, shoot I needed reading glasses, a magnifying glass and direct sunlight to actually see the tiny piece of lint causing mine to...
And to prove exactly where this industry has ended up someone recomends 3640 as a better material than 3651 for outdoor / exterior / vehicle / trailer use ..... How low can you go? 3640 with no lam for trailer graphics :banghead: Holy bejesus no wonder customers are so confused, it's just a...
SP-300V runs on Versaworks, that what the V represents.
Previous model SP-300 ran on Rolands Color Choice RIP Software.
You could probably run it on another RIP program, possibly even on Flexi Pro
I am meticulous about cleaning my printer, 500ml bottle of cleaner purchased 5 years ago and is still half full. Shoot I even recently installed a new printhead and during that process we cleaned extensively and flushed the old printhead with cleaner, bottle is still half full. For me that...
Fingernail smingernail, why not simply perform a "Sheet Cut" prior to printing thus providing a straight leading edge for alignment when reloading media? Easy Smeasy :thumb:.
He said masking tape but he didn't mean masking tape. He meant Application tape (premask). You gotta learn to read between the lines so to speak, this industry has been consumed by folks that are unfamiliar with the proper terms of the materials and processes inviolved. I bought one-a-dem-dar...
Motosports has it. You didn't specify the year.

Pyromedia has it as well.

You are requesting that your supplier provide a refund on materials that were not defective?
How is your supplier responsible for the condition of the wall?
Are you sure you want "Die Cut" decals? This would require 500 seperate dies to be produced to produce just one decal each. "Die Cutting" is NOT what is done on a standard vinyl cutter, that would be refered to as "Cut Vinyl" big big difference between the two processes.
BTW ... Stouse...
For my paticular printer (SP-300V) it is 3 3/16" before crop marks and 3 9/16" after crop marks. I believe this is simply to keep media sensors covered while machine is reading crop marks.
I've read that a common error is to hit "Get Media Width" when reloading laminated media for cutting, this somehow throws things off. In Versaworks the only setting changes to be made after reloading laminated media for cutting is to select "Cut Only" under "Cut Controls" tab. The print-lam-cut...
Simply put there are different grades of calendered vinyls as well as their adhesives, research Momomeric vs Polymeric Calendered Films. I would imagine the 3850 is a Polymeric Calendered Film (Intermediate Grade) where as the 3640 is a Monomeric Calendered Film (Economy Grade). Also the 3850...
There is a good reason for the price difference. 3640 is an "ECONOMY" grade vinyl that shrinks terribly in a short period of time. If this application is intended for long term exterior use then it's a recipe for failure. The only thing I use 3640 for is golf tournament signs that are...
