would those LED lights on the inside of your printer cover have anything to do with it? the encoder sensor is a photo-eye, and maybe not reading correctly at those points on the strip due to some glare?

you may want to consider an additional bucket truck rental for this install, as well. sign faces that large, are no easy task.

1/4" black acrylic lettering would look pretty clean on metal/wood. are you providing the panels, or is that part of the spec. for quote as well? wood/wood laminate or painted/stained/raw metal/wood?

you don't have to line-up double-print layers pixelxpixel, but you want to be as close as you can explained: if there is a transluscent white layer in between the two prints, then the pixels are diffused by the time the light hits the front layer. which is ultimately the goal of this process...

if you do any canvas printing, especially for wall murals, ALWAYS laminate it. just takes one rough rub of your felt squeegee or an overzealous cleaning crew, to ruin it. Liquid laminate anything printed on textured material, you can roll it on with a paintroller, or use matching lamination...

can't install it on the front of the glass, that is on the backside of the case? per intent of standard perf.vinyl.

shouldn't be too hard. i'd quote a do not exceed price of travel + 3hrs. I'm sure it would take only a little more than an hour to install but you never know.
