Yeah the nozzle check is different from an actual print because with a nozzle check the printer is just telling the print head to fire all nozzles at a certain timing. With a print, the printer's processor creates a much more complicated signal and can get corrupted which is why I asked about...
Sending 1 file and then clicking 10 copies is the fastest way. It RIPs the single file and then just steps it across the media. If you put all of them in one file, it has to RIP all of them. Also, if your machine is stalling, your computer is not powerful enough, the network is malfunctioning or...
The wave form is created by the printer so if it is also stretched out, you might actually have a main board problem or other electrical issue. Have you received error 16 at all recently?
Just to throw it out there, I have seen this happen when a color profile reverses the resolution. So instead of a 540 x 1080 it might say 1080 x 540 and this confuses the printer because it expects the resolution the other way around. Also, ValueJets are known to do weird things if a job gets...
Has this setup ever worked before? I am wondering how a Photoshop file can output a vector file. I don't use the current versions so something might have been added that I don't know of but in general, this is the first time I have ever heard of someone using Photoshop to layout text to cut and...
It sounds like you don't have the Rip while print option selected then. Could be a bad USB cable, failing USB port on the computer or possibly an issue with the USB or memory on the printer itself. Try using a different cable and different port and see how it goes.
If you are setup to print while Ripping in Flexi, your computer is struggling on the larger files to RIP fast enough to keep up with the printer. You can either upgrade the computer or turn off Ripping while printing. Turning the motor speed down would probably help too but it will slow things...
Usually when ink drops out of the head like that the damper is bad. If the magenta one wasn't changed along with the black one, I would just change all of them. Dampers are maintenance items and should be changed on a regular schedule. The older they are, the more problems you have.
Springs usually don't go bad on those. If it was installed backwards it can get caught up. Look at the orientation of the metal piece on top of the sponge and compare it to one next to it. If they are different, it's probably in backwards. If they look good, usually you can get it to pop back...
I'm a Mutoh dealer and am 100% they are all the same. The 3rd party ones like the ones premier sells can fail because they aren't made the same way Mutoh makes theirs. If there was a difference, Mutoh would have to sell each ink as a different name with a different part number which they don't...
Hold function 1 and function 3 while powering on. The go into the main menu and scroll down until you see "#Adjust". The head wash function is in that menu.
You need to go into the service menu and run the head wash function. It will tell you to remove the cartridges and then will pump all of the ink out. Then it will ask you to insert the wash cartridges and it will wash the tubes out. Mimaki recommends repeating the wash twice. The final step...
If you liked the CJV30, the CJV150 is an obvious choice. Super low learning curve and it runs exactly like the CJV30 with a few little changes here and there. It's essentially a faster, higher quality, version of the CJV30.
You have to loosen the 3 screws that hold the head down before doing the bias and vertical.
Left Allen screw is the bias adjuster.
Middle white thumb screw is for vertical.
Horizontal is an electronic alignment. It is very similar to the bi-directional alignment. Just select the number...
I have run into this a couple times and it ended up being the USB connection on the printer every time. Unfortunately it's part of the main board so you either have to get it fixed or replace the board usually. Try a new USB cable first of course but then it's probably the board.
I started in the sign industry at a small start up shop and they hired me straight out of high school where I took graphic design courses. I started at $8 per hour and they taught me how to run production as well. By the time I was proficient I was at $13 per hour. That was 14 years ago. These...
