  1. Copyright Violation Question

Okay, if it works for you.
  2. Ignoring sign guidelines becomes capital offense

+1 Very first thing I thought of Pat.
  3. Copyright Violation Question

Something doesn't sound right here. Forgive me, but who'd make such an agreement. ie: They get the logo for "free" but you're the only shop permitted to produce their signs? So what's to prevent you from increasing the prices on the signs whenever you want and they're stuck with buying the...
  4. Skulls? Used in advertising.

Yep, totally appropriate to the product it's trying to promote and identify. But, I was specifically talking about the use, or over-use of skulls on just about everything else. We have a taxidermy client that uses a skull. Of course. It's fitting.
  5. Skulls? Used in advertising.

Thanks people. I think I get it.
  6. Umm...Goodbye?

You've probably noticed that society's manners in general have deteriorated. Some things are not being taught anymore. And if not learned in the culture, are not picked up. Also, everything today is being "abbreviated". Shorthand. The "exquisite flourishes" in everyday life are not to be...
  7. Skulls? Used in advertising.

Maybe some of you "hip-er" cats can help an older cat out. But what's up with all these skull designs being used in advertising? I'm quite sure I'm missing some of the subtleties here. But just exactly what does the use of skulls in a design "say"?
  8. Chapped me big time!!!

News Flash. Customers lie. Sometimes they make a game out of it. They have more time to waste on this sort of thing than you do. Wash it off. Move on.
  9. Font ID please

    Perfect! Thanks
  10. Font ID please

Hope this is enough to jog someones memory.
  11. Attaching Letter Track to Polymetal

Gemini offers a plastic rivet to go along with their track. Track is available is clear, white or black. Rivets are perfect. We use them all the time to create non-illuminated message boards on DiBond. Space your rivets about every 8". No nearer than 2" in from the ends. The rivets used to...
  12. EZ GO Golf cart template

Don't know of any. But photograph one, take a few measurements. Golf carts are incredibly simple.
  13. Backlit outdoor printed vinyl Orajet 3850

Have used the 210 for years (over 3850) with no problems to date. Gloss or matte would probably only matter if you were doing indoor pieces, say, for a museum or something. Everything gloss outdoors gets "matte" in a few weeks with all the soot and etc. falling out of sky.
  14. Wha?

Uh....okay. Went back and looked at the original post. I didn't get it wrong after all. The original poster attached a link showing a seller selling non-custom banners on ebay. They are not "stupid low" prices at all. I think they're fairly priced...given the fact that these are not custom...
  15. Wha?

Okay, maybe I missed something. But I thought we were talking strictly about someone mass producing a sign (or banner) with a non-custom message on it that can be sold to the masses. Sort of a "one size fits all" type of thing. We have a division within our company that is strictly logging...
  16. Wha?

Kids, seems to me to be just too much "ringing of the hands" here. 1) These are non-custom signs. A guy could fill in his slack printer time by running these. Doesn't say whether they're hemmed or not. Grommeting is quick. 2) Print 50 ahead of time, stock them, heck you could even...
  17. Am I supposed to care?

My mistake on the gun thing. Took it wrong. Yes, you're a respected guy in our trade and to answer a lot of questions. I'm a bit grouchy today. No offense intended.
  18. Am I supposed to care?

Pat, you played by the rules. It's well established that over-drafts are subject to banking fees. His problem totally.
  19. Am I supposed to care?

Really Gino? You don't sound like you quite know how the banking system works. They're supposed to violate state and federal statute to help you? You're not their client, he is! (albeit probably not a very good one) Secondly, are you really a merchant member here? A business man? The gun...
  20. Question for Fred.

I was wondering if you could say a few words about the actual job of administrating a forum such as this? (Understand you're busy with day to day stuff), but I thought it might be enlightening for us members to get a better handle on how complex the job is, some of the challenges you face, if...
