  1. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

DirtBomb, straight up question for you. Are you currently a Fast Signs franchisee? Because if you are, and I'm sure you're aware this is a very public place, you're not doing the FS name any good with your comments. Spiders crawl this forum (like any other) and you may see your comments...
  2. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

It might be good sort of state your sitution: ie; are you a disgruntled franchisee, considering purchasing the franchise, or what? There is a SignsNow not too many miles away that is doing absolutely terrific. (not that that in itself means anything about Fast Signs) But franchises, I've...

  10. Hey Fred........................

And then there's the whole comma thing. As you know, I, and a few others, are among those persons requesting clarity, but not expecting such, due to the total misuse, and dare I say over-use, of the diminutive comma.
  11. Using metal shear to cut dibond and maxmetal

Stan, we've been struggling with this same issue for years. We often have orders of 40-50 small signs which we do using the 3mm DiBond panel. A lot of orders for 10"x14", 12"x18" etc. We have both a nice table saw and also a panel saw. Use the table saw for this chore mostly. But still, the...

  17. How do I increase density (ink deposition)?

Ooops, sorry. Guess that would be helpful. Roland SP-540v with VersaWorks 4.0 RIP
  18. How do I increase density (ink deposition)?

Printing some eight foot electrical sign faces onto 3850. Usually we set the machine to "return to point of origin after printing" then hit print again. This allows an extra "coat" of ink to increase the density of color because they're back lit. This method also allows the printed image to...
  19. Anyone else ever notice this

    Haven't experienced it.
  20. How Fast?

The problem I have with some of this reasoning is, that it's flawed. It doesn't take into consideration modern methods of producing sign work. For example it used to take a monk (hand copying by candle light night and day) two years to produce a bible, do you think Gutenberg and those that...
