  1. So I'm playing golf and return...

to my accomodations, and spot this vehicle two doors down. Funny how something like this grabs you. (see cover of SignCraft mag Jan/Feb. 2012) It's one of Dan Antonelli's designs, and the magazine was last thing I had read before leaving for some golf and relaxation in Rancho Mirage...
  2. whats a customer list worth.....?

A few factors in play here. 1) How likely is it that those same customers will simply go to the other salon after you close anyway? A) Are there a lot of similar salons in the immediate area? B) Is there something unique or different about your salon? 2) What kind of loyalty is there...
  3. I really Hate the School District.

Yeah, I'm with Watson. For pete's sake, you've got a beef about the order, bring it up then and there. That's El Toro Poopoo in my belief, to wait 90 days and then suggest the quarter payment is because of a problem with the order. I'd call 'em out on it if that's indeed the case. If your...
  4. I feel stupid but...

We are also renewing some SF signs and the agent showed us the new logo font and said he would supply it in .pdf.
  5. Writing off vehicle mileage when you have vehicle advertising

This is a Certified Public Accountant that has told you that? By "writing it off" you mean that you take a deduction for the cost of everything associated with driving it? All of your vehicles? Wow.

  9. Grammar question!!

Their's plural, posessive, and posessive plural. Basic highschool stuff. You need to know two things. The correct spelling of their last name. The intent of the sign. (is it to designate who owns the phone, the name of the family where the phone rings, etc.)
  10. Switching from diecut to printed wraps... Design help needed

Most wrappers that I know make use of photography (when needed) available from sites like Istockphoto, Fotolia, etc. Both of whom I've purchased from in the last week or so. Vector art is available from those same sites. There are members on this forum with vector collections. Of course you...
  11. 2011 Crown Vic

We just finished (4) 2011 Crown Vickies for law enforcement. The cars come to us black and we wrap the doors white. Then add the specific graphics. We never use a template. Cut yourself a chunk of IJ180v3 vinyl larger than the door, laminate it with cast laminate and stick it on there.
  12. Sales Guys.... Hate them? or Love them?

Wow! We must be doing something totally wrong. I'm happy that my reps visit me. Most are respectful of my time, realizing that for the most part their visit is unscheduled in my day. With respect to new products, heck yes I'm interested. Especially samples of such. The way some of these...
  13. Hey Fred!

I knew it! Deprive us of our guilty pleasure of arguing, debating, insulting, and generally misbehaving.....just so you can screw off all day. How selfish. LOL.
  14. Hey Fred!

What are you doing with all of your free time now that you're not ball and chain to the NHB forum monitoring thing?

    I have clients like that.
  16. If anyone needs help..

Very, very generous I'd say. I'm not too savvy on some of those issues. Code writing, I guess. But others will surely use your help.
  17. Thanks Fred

For sure. Thanks Fred for all you're doing here.
  18. Bad company.....lajit graphics

It's a small world I guess. Crystal Lake, Ill. Haven't thought of that little town since 1971 when I left there for Oregon. Lived in Huntley, too. Yeah, that's been awhile.
  19. Anyone have homemade racks under their printer to keep prints off the ground?

We use a simple hand crank take-up mounted to the front of the machine. I'm impressed with the motorized versions, just haven't got around to it. By the way, I see you buy artwork from Aurora.
