Yea, I've had to rebuild it before and thought it was one of those Pierce Fire fonts that only the factory has. But this truck was originally done by a small shop locally so I think it's out there somewhere
Around here there are a few steel wholesalers that deliver. If it's a small job there's a place that has cut offs and leftovers, usually with some surface rust though.
We don't have many customers in the shop. Those that do come in are usually wearing a mask since it's required at all stores. Plenty of room to keep 6' away while talking.
Depending on the framing system they are insisting on I would probably still want the horizontals anchored to a steel beam bridging the columns and well anchored.
Gerber spent a lot of time on kerning their fonts in the beginning and gave great tools for making adjustments. One of my earliest and continuous beefs with computerized sign making is the total lack of care for kerning, and spacing of all kinds. I prefer to my text in Gerber before importing to...

I've had more than a few of those. "Customers can't find our service entrance even though it's marked" "Everyone thinks we're a beauty parlor but we do...
Depending on the project it's about finding out what problem they are trying to solve.
But a lot of times it's just a sign don't turn it into an ordeal. Just give them your undivided attention
and let them know that you care about their business.
Do I need to use Enamel Paint for the base of the signs, or will others be ok as well. How will others stand up to fading in sunlight/weather, etc. Use a good industrial oil based gloss enamel
Do I need to add a clear coat to these signs if I'm using Gloss Enamel? No
How should I be...
Pattern depends on the job. But a lot of time we do a pattern of just 1/2"-3/4" bottom of letters and keep tape out of that area. You can apply right over it and slide it off afterwards.
You need to do a day/night print. I never applied on to the inside (or outside) of a pan face. Not sure how it works to wrap the edge with translucent.
