  1. Tape Mount Acrylic Lettering

Yep, we usually just do the bottom inch of the pattern, or if the design requires more precision, the top and bottom inch. Just keep the tape out of this area and the thickness of the tape should allow the pattern to slide out
  2. 3'x15'x1.5" HDU Sign Install Question

No backer need for a wall mount. I would do shoes. That way I could be sure I'm getting a solid connection without messing around with the face or studs. I'd do a few test drills and could always go with toggles if needed. Number of shoes would depend on how securely I got them set. And...
  3. Sign businesses around the country

Lots of things you can look at, existing competition Like John said, but also the existing businesses. Be nice to pick an area that has some strong economic roots and especially a good mix of them in different fields. This craziness has shown that no business is a safe bet.
  4. Living Wall Sign?

How about a rail mount of some sort and hanging it in front of the wall with clear line?
  5. 6" high, 1/4" thick acrylic letters on aluminum cladding

I also agree, the vhb/lexel combo is really strong. just be sure the surface is clean.
  6. Parking Sign with Changeable Slot

We use standard .080 blanks & pop rivet or VHB sign track. You can also get steel blanks and do it with magnets. I have to raise my prices.
  7. 6" high, 1/4" thick acrylic letters on aluminum cladding

You say aluminum cladidng, so is it ribbed? If it is you could consider rail mounting. If it's smooth I'd be fine w/VHB & lexel.
  8. New Product hi im new in this site and I NEED HELP TO FIND A BANNER MATERIAL

What are you basing the material choice on, a sample? a photo? a vague description from the client? How are you going to finish it? Sounds like it will require sewing.

  11. Window Tint with Logo? Can it be done.

You could use tint on the inside and transparent vinyl on the outside
  12. Question Anyone used a WOOD CHIPPER to grind up coroplast drops?

    I don't understand why it isn't recyclable.
  13. A very different type of monument

Old New England quarries make some great swimming holes
  14. How to add an electrical cabinet to an exisiting pole?

Looks like it was designed for a plate mount. So the original sign probably had an angle iron frame. But it also looks like it was raised at some point, those other two plates look suspicious. I'm always leery of messing around with existing poles without getting an engineer to sign off on it...
  15. Painting skillz...

Looks more folk art than sign art, but the guy is fast
  16. 4x4 Real Estate sign

I agree, bad idea. Just make a 4x4 Aframe with two faces and a cross bar on the bottom so it can be weighted
  17. Direct to wall inkjet

Yea, I remember that truck painter too...apparently it didn't pan out because we're still putting vinyl on trucks. The same will happen with this thing.
  18. Pictures for wallpaper murals

You are treading on dangerous ground. First about all those wallpaper sites having the same designs, you might discover it's all the same company with different names/sites so they get more traffic. Second, you may find using "free" images may come with limits on how they are used. The same is...
  19. Need Help Our A/C just went out.................

Heat isn't as much as an issue as humidity. Keep a fan on so at least the air is circulating
  20. Another Fire Truck

I've seen this before on another truck. I recreated using a Machine/Half Block, Flange and LHF Smalts. If it was getting the same exact design I'd send it o the Vector Doctor.
