I also agree, the vhb/lexel combo is really strong. just be sure the surface is clean.

We use standard .080 blanks & pop rivet or VHB sign track. You can also get steel blanks and do it with magnets. I have to raise my prices.

You say aluminum cladidng, so is it ribbed? If it is you could consider rail mounting. If it's smooth I'd be fine w/VHB & lexel.

What are you basing the material choice on, a sample? a photo? a vague description from the client? How are you going to finish it? Sounds like it will require sewing.

We could cut that small, but printing on clear is a better and cheaper option, so i would give them the choice.

Looks like it was designed for a plate mount. So the original sign probably had an angle iron frame. But it also looks like it was raised at some point, those other two plates look suspicious. I'm always leery of messing around with existing poles without getting an engineer to sign off on it...

I've seen this before on another truck. I recreated using a Machine/Half Block, Flange and LHF Smalts. If it was getting the same exact design I'd send it o the Vector Doctor.
