I'd look for a new printer. I understand maximizing press sheets, yield, plate life etc... Truth is offset printing is on a descending curve for pricing. Digital printing is generally a "flat line" cost.(maybe they're using a digital press?) I would have to look at my notebooks for the math...
We use the cheapest ones we can find. The "cloth like" ones can leave residue behind. It comes from the way they're processed to get that special feel. Ever notice the commercials don't show folks cleaning mirrors or glass with them.
BTW The coffee filter thing is a cool tip.
Client wants 3' thick letters and logo for the front of his building. So I'm thinking channel letters. Seems no one wants to make faced foam that thick. Wondering if anybody has a recommendation on a supplier. Thought I'd check here first. Verbage will be 20"+ tall.
If it was COMPLETELY designed and built in America I would pay more. Like I said before it's a "feel good" marketing ploy. Assembling Chinese products in an American factory is not what I call Made in the USA. I know I use to do the same thing for years. It galled me no end when I had to put...
Could be the Dawn soap. If you didn't get every last molecule of it off it will cause problems. I ruined a complete job many many years ago and have NEVER used it to clean since. I've used automotive paint prep products then finish with IPA ever since.
Another thing to avoid is the expensive...
2000 jobs is a great thing for America. But the electronics will still be made in China. It said Designed and Assembled in USA. They left out where the components come from. Marketing slight of hand.
We design on Mac and run equipment with PC's. My iMac is an '08 and still rocks. I would run the whole shop on Mac if the RIP's were native. My system is what works for me and was not done haphazardly. Your results WILL vary.
Mac haters will be along any time now. Buy whatever you want, I...
I have a similar set-up here. My agent set us up with a "rider" on our policy for equipment etc... We also have a one million dollar "umbrella" policy that covers the rest of what we do. Not sure if that helps you or not.
Almost forgot-----:Welcome:
Probably have to deal with RS directly for parts(?) Are you sure its the motor? Hire an electrician and check the fuses and power feeds. Could be as simple as that. Might even be one of the micro switches that are behind the guards not making contact too. Lots of little things to check first.
Our Roland print/cut device likes short pieces. You cannot cut into small pieces unless you have registration marks on each of those pieces. Meaning you have to have a mark in all four corners so the cutter knows where to start.
Just go on the Dodge website. Might take some digging, but all the specs will be there. I know not much help. Hmm...how 'bout this? My F350 Supercab is 21' long, almost 6' wide and almost 6' tall.
