  1. HP Latex 110 for startup?

Yes, I am a One man Circus. If I had employee's I would need a bigger machine. For myself, I do great!
  2. HP Latex 110 for startup?

Here is a 4x20ft. print I just laminated, mounted and installed. Two-color Pantone match on Clear Oracal Vinyl, (swept off the dust and sent through the laminator) then applied to white Polycarb. Sorry it's a little longer than 3 feet but somehow it worked out fine :) You would have saved...
  3. HP Latex 110 for startup?

Average cost of printed adhesive backed media, say $.50 per sq.ft. ink and material. Average selling price of printed media, say $5.00 per sq.ft. Production Profit margin, $4.50 per sq.ft. with similar post production costs (Overhead cost dismissed..). 2,000 sq.ft. x $4.50 would turn $9,000...
  4. HP Latex 110 for startup?

The latex 110 is great. Prints a few feet my arse. It will handle a 55lb. roll, so it can handle a 150' long roll of 54" banner or adhesive vinyl or anything. Ink usage at max is 1ml per sq/ft. full coverage. 400ml is $100, so $.25 per sq.ft. for rich black, and less for most prints. Honestly...
  5. Any grammar gurus here ?

Well a visitor walking up would be looking for a place to accept all visitors, not just his lonesome visitor self. There is neither ownership nor plurality requiring an apostrophe in this instance, so I would label it the Visitors Center
  6. HP Latex 110... Awesome!

Got this thing at a good price. Literally paid for 1/2 of it the first week. Granted I had some rush orders and orders backed up... :) In Oregon the weed dispensaries cannot legally put money into a Federal bank or something. They pay cash, and like to spend it! :) Could not have done it without...
  7. HP Latex 110... Awesome!

Before the questions arise, this machine does not come with ink. Nor does it come with a print/cut solution. You actually have to cut the media roll inside the hot machine with a box cutter in a small track to separate a sheet. I am using roland cutstsudio plugin within Illustrator for my...
  8. HP Latex 110... Awesome!

Yep this thing rules. Got it through a small (33") door on a furniture dolly. Set it up in a few hours. Downloaded flexi and had to wait for ink over the weekend. Loaded 54" poster, and did a calibration on the optimizer ink. Looked all burnt up, but that's what it was looking for I guess...
  9. Ordered the latex 110

Out the door I dropped $9K which included inks, and 4 rolls of media. Delivery on thursday. It is discounted like $2300. http://www.uscutter.com/HP-Latex-110-Wide-Format-Printer Just ran the wire for the two 220v outlets today. $140 in parts, 2 hours labor with the building owner and I bought...
  10. New HP Latex Printer Model

Hoping for the best... I just ordered the Latex 110. Got it from USCutter.com for $7500 shipped. Already have the 64" laminator, but only a 30" Versacamm (can still do print cut!). I have BigfishMD supplying the cheapest medias mainly. Found this Ink supplier...
  11. Ordered the latex 110

It will be here thursday. I'm pretty excited. Got it from USCutter for like $7500 shipped.
  12. Polycarb Thickness Question

That's about what I'm paying, but they only have clear and I need white. Plus freight would be outrageous.
  13. Polycarb Thickness Question

Ok I am familiar with a hanger bar. I have re-faced a couple 6' x 12' that had the hanger bar (top and bottom I believe). It was like 1/4" U channel aluminum that we drilled and riveted onto the new pieces. I could also get 10' of the 100" .177 and have then cut it down tow two 4' x10' pieces...
  14. Polycarb Thickness Question

I'm located on the southern Oregon coast. Not very many vendors around here, but I am looking. Anything in Portland or Eugene?
  15. Polycarb Thickness Question

Hey guys, I am installing a new face in a 48" x 240" Single sided lightbox, mounted low to the ground. The current sign is two 120" x 48" sheets of acrylic and they are cracked and broken. I was sourcing material and the vendor had two polycarb options. There was .150 thickness, and that came...
  16. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

I use that. Got it shipped from Florida. Heavy as hell! Works so good, I laminate 4x8 prints, then mount them with this. Just gotta walk back and forth a few times getting the pressure correct. I go 1/8 turn past tight.
  17. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

I'm buying a new printer, but still get banners @ $.69 sq.ft. hemmed and grommeted from 777 in vegas.
  18. Sloan Flexi-Brite Color scam?

I recently purchased 30ft. of Sloan Flexi-Brite in the Blue color. The blue costs about 40% more than the red does. I wired it up reverse polarity and it glowed red. WTF? Could I have bought the red and wired it up for blue?
  19. New logo for myself.

My thinking is that I make Signs, not Company's. Everybody knows that a business is a company right? This lets me keep the word SIGN as big as possible in one line. I also like the way that "Sign Co." rolls off the tongue... Agreed the bevel is ugly, it was just helping me visualize it as a...
  20. New logo for myself.

PS, my corner radius is crap.
