  1. New logo for myself.

No details really needed. Simple 2 color, no frills (shown with lighting effects). A little cramped at the bottom? .

  3. Revamping my office.

I have more footage than this, two other back rooms, and a bathroom and a breakroom with a couch and tv/micro and water thing. The laminator is in the main back room. I have two more work tables on wheels at the same height as the laminator deck. It's a 60" USTECH, but I mainly run 38" laminate...
  4. Revamping my office.

Built a 16' workbench. Has a 3" lip for clamping all around. Not finished, but should be a good tool! Added A customer station in the corner, so folks can google the image they want, or plug in camera and find the right picture without leaning over my shoulder. Also have the screen on the wall...
  5. I like crisp edges and I cannot lie, you other signers can't deny...

Let me also mention that this is not a product I advertise or make regularly. We all get those weird requests. In this instance, I realized that two of the edges of these signs would be against a wall, requiring only two clean visible edges. The contractor guy saw my dark blue oracal 651 and the...
  6. I like crisp edges and I cannot lie, you other signers can't deny...

These signs are for a high school of about 300 students. I made the maintenance guys a large di-bond sign and they ordered these signs on the same substrate. I said, If a student slaps the sign, it could bend and or cut them. The response was "Good, then we will know who did it, Haha". The...

  8. I like crisp edges and I cannot lie, you other signers can't deny...

Up late, just finished some MDO signs. I think they look pretty solid. Double sided, just vinyl on MDO with some corner brackets. 8" x 22" hoping to get $96 each. Question being, does anybody else paint the edges after applying full bleed vinyl? I think it looks great, but I don't see it very...
  9. Custom Halo Lit Sign. 3 sq.ft. with lots of WOW

I'd have to check the Gemini catalog for that pricing. I know they charge 2x to add the leds and supply a 60 watt power supply. Custom font letters that size I think were about $90 each retail. I charged the same 2x to light them and it only cost about $100 for the modules and then $40 each for...
  10. Bright Long Lasting Channel Letters, and What It Takes

How do these compare to the Aurora G2G Gen III modules? They run 300 lumens/ft. which blinds me at .96 watts per module.
  11. Custom Halo Lit Sign. 3 sq.ft. with lots of WOW

Also, at 300 lumens/ft. for the Auraura G2G modules that I overstuffed the SUSHI letters with, we had to dim down to about 20%. Those things are so effing bright, it would have caused car wrecks.
  12. HP DesignJet 5500PS

I still have one in use. I get all sorts of great print media from BigfishDM. Inks are like $60 shipped for 660ml cartridge from LDproducts. I use it for canvas prints, product labels, posters, laminated decals, indoor banners, laminated outdoor banners, interior signs, cardboard cutouts, etc...
  13. Custom Halo Lit Sign. 3 sq.ft. with lots of WOW

Haha, the Skip-Rope is Sloan FlexiBrite. The blue reatails for around $50 per linear foot. I used just under 30ft. for this sign. The Blue and Green cost 2x what the white, red and orange cost.
  14. Custom Halo Lit Sign. 3 sq.ft. with lots of WOW

Build Pics I didn't take too many pictures of this. I didn't get any of the Frames or Brackets somehow. Here is a few I found.

  18. printing on a wall graphic vinyl question

I did my first wall mural two days ago. I have a picture. It was 8 feet wide by 10 tall with an angles top edge. I used Oracal 3651 with matte laminate from Signs365.com and it turned out perfect. This is in a Restaurant so I washed the whole thing down with alcohol when completed to demonstrate...
  19. Most expensive sign you have crafted?

Mine just went up today. I still have a top crown sign with halo lit 2" deep fabricated aluminum letters to mount, and then wire up the secondaries to the 5 power supplies. 1,200 LEDS total, including the Flexibrite. Project total is just over 10k. Paid for my trip to vegas last week :) Here are...
