The STROKES have been converted to outlines before they sent it to you. It's standard procedure so that they don't get scaled or rendered incorrectly. But yes, it makes a bit of a mess to work with if you need to make adjustments later.

The fonts wont affect file transfer speeds, just how long it takes to open the adobe software. Does the file open fast if it's on the computer vs opening across the network? You need to try and narrow it down.

Make sure your marks aren't fuzzy. On my FC7000mk2, even a little over spray around the marks and it will throw an error. And the usual fixes, like sticking a piece of matte lam over them, etc..

Is there a loose connection? Did something get bumped out of whack? It's been a while since I've looked at the service manual or opened mine up so I'm not sure if there's an adjustment for keeping it parallel, but you might want to measure and see that the rail is parallel to the platen.

Yeah, the beautiful fonts from lost type are getting way over used and it bums me out because I really like them.

4 over is great. Not a -ton- of options, but enough to get by with. Silkcards is great for picking up the weird die cuts and layers and yadda yadda.

I do it all the time. Work from the middle out and you've gotta squeegee the crap out of it to make sure all the moisture is out or you'll get some clouds. Let it set up for an hour before you cut.

Does that one that is having problems work when it's the only one plugged in?

I don't know why any vinyl turning brown is ok, regardless of the "quality". Red vinyl turning pink/white, colors lightening, fading, and prints fading to nothing or chalking, cracking, peeling, whatever is totally understandable, but please explain to me why it's ok for vinyl to look burnt or...

On a mac? If your settings are that way and it's only weird in AI then chances are you can't..... But... you know you can hold space bar and click and drag to move around right? I've not used clicky arrows in so long.

It means it's not talking to the UV power supply.. check that the UV supply is turned on and that the cable is properly connected..

Yep, clean off any sensors and check for loose connections. Loose ribbon caused the last problem I had with an edge.
