  2. Help please : How to wrap edge of wing. Image Included

forgot to mention, that, when I do the cuts... i double those cuts to "notch-out" some of the excess vinyl that won't be tucked away. little heat, and a slight stretch before tucking to the backside helps hide any remaining excess from the "fold".
  3. Fantasy Football Pay league UPDATE

lol, i was tempted to put up a waiver claim on CJ, but he busted for me in two of my leagues last year, along with Hillis, and I wanted nothing to do with either this year :) two4one: Ridley/Stewart/Morris + KBritt for Nicks?
  4. Fantasy Football Pay league UPDATE

how bout that Jamaal Charles last week, eh?!? Should be looking good the rest of the season but I'd be willing to trade, straight-up, for Ray Rice :)
  5. Help please : How to wrap edge of wing. Image Included

two relief-cuts, like a "V" on the two sides of the point where the straight line hits the radius. -pull the middle "tab" of vinyl over the top of the point and wrap on the backside -then wrap the two sides around so the 3 parts overlap eachother on the backside to keep each other secure.
  6. Printing wrong colors

unfamiliar with rasterlink, but if you're setting up CMYK values in illustrator and do not want them modified by RasterLink.... there should be an "All ICC Profiles Off" option somewhere in your rip software. the value you gave, 51 32 27 16, is a navy/grey blue should print just fine. another...
  7. issues upgrading firmware

owow. not the worse problem to have i guess, but I'm sure its maddening to have an unrepaired, undiagnosed, issue. you of all people.
  8. Printheads can't suck up ink after DAMPER change- PLEASE HELP!!

my money is on a cracked manifold. very easy to do so when lifting the damper off the printhead manifold- the black cap on printhead/controller chip that has the nipples the insert into the damper. If the nipple is bent too-far by "tipping" the damper, even the slightest, and it can crack and...
  9. issues upgrading firmware

did this end up being the electrical issue that ruckus thought? curious to know how things turned out.
  10. Seen this before?

if there's a pattern of this happening at the same-point of the roll, I'd be more inclined to believe old media/improper storage. if the problem went away, and is now back on a different roll, then maybe you have an ink supply issue? what's the testprint look like? flush lines and increase your...
  11. Opinions on repairing or replacing JV3

shoot if you have a working printer, of a different brand/model, i'd say its worth it just to simply sell it off to the highest bidder. you can even sit on it for a while and just print black out of the two heads, if the right deal doesn't come along. I'd hate having more than one make/model...
  12. Wrap Removal Help!!!

had a parking garage with large floor to ceiling wall murals. got a call, asking why our graphics were coming off just a few months after install. went to inspect, no debris on the adhesive, and tugging on the "dog-ears" wasn't releasing any more of the graphic.... really was scratching my head...
  13. 50' high tank

this (based on the red-neck/hick/hillbilly/whitetrash stereotype)
  14. 50' high tank

they covered the equipment, so you really just had materials plus travel? $2k+ range sounds about right, if it was just you and you've got little to no overhead. (i would pad that a bit more if they expect you to warranty it)
  15. Anyone want to trade likes on FACEBOOK?

updated: didn't realize that my company's facebook page was a profile page, rather than a business. my minions are working on updating content, but we've got a pretty good start @ http://www.facebook.com/Michaels.Signs liking all of the above right now! edited: well, not right now... going...
  16. Led that looks like neon

re-posted with a better photo. still weeding through our installation pics and finding the good ones :)
  17. Led that looks like neon

o yes it exists... my most recent sign is wrapped in it and hallway is trimmed with, as well, at the new UW-Madison - DeJope Residence Hall: (can't see in this photo, but the sign panel is stood-off the glass block 2inches with an aluminum panface that's wrapped in the stuff as well.) cool...
  18. Making Shapes in the form of an Oval

can't set a stroke of a line to be a dot? edited: dang, thought i had the option in illustrator but I guess I can only make dashes :(
  19. Digital Print on Lighted Sign - Best way?

i also prefer doing dual-layer prints both with white trans, as the clear is always a bit more pricey and generates the same result. dual-layer is our standard, as just 1 layer of print "washes-out" when lit and double-striking with ink makes prints look too dark/muddy in the daylight...
  20. cjv30 printing full black. leaves banding? or something else?. please help

unless the testprint shows missing nozzles, my money's on a CMYK black having the alignment slightly off. (streaking looks grey, and not CMorY individually, so my guess is there's a slight shift away from K) tried running in uni-directional? that usually fixes it for me.
