Go on Lexjet website and pick the paper that will work with eco solvent. You can call them and ask your questions and they are very knowledgeable about their products.

You could also use 1/2" coro and slit the back and bend two corners and attach with VHB tape as Marlene mentioned.

That vinyl you used was Calendered and probably the laminate was too. You should be using cast material for vinyl and lam. It has less of a chance of doing that what you are showing.
