Good move Vdoc! 4 jobs later, I remember this guys excellent skill & great prices pretty quickly now... it pays to remember, ...especially if you are already very busy yourself.
  2. Graphtech Vs. Designtech

"dude"... if you wanted to convince us you were not some young punk... well, I couldn't care less what unique liabilities feed your melodramatic tendencies, but back to the original issue... if you may someday actually proceed out beyond the familiar territory of "the old files you had in...
  3. Importing non-vector images to cut in Corel

long after kilerb shrivles up with embarrasment & crawls back under a rock, this thread will remain in our forum here & to that end, a continuation of good advice is still relevant as other may find this thread through a search & those others may be more receptive to good information...
  4. Importing non-vector images to cut in Corel

OK, OK... I retract the part about coming back. If you actually own legal versions of Photoshop CS2 & Illustrator CS2, then you will have the training CD's as well. Throw them in the computer & sit back & enjoy hours of polite instruction catering to the legitimately clueless new users of the...
  5. Importing non-vector images to cut in Corel

...just for the sake of respecting the facts, on the day kilerb joined this forum, 2 weeks ago on April 2, his very first post he asked about cutting from photoshop & I politely informed him of a few things before any "fray" existed. http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7291...
  6. Importing non-vector images to cut in Corel

I agree again, I am a jerk! not always, & not with premeditated malice... but there is no doubt I can be a jerk, & you are absolutely right that there are nicer ways to give advice. I did, in my defense, try the nicer way 2 weeks ago. This time I was aggressive and mean. I'm not saying...
  7. Importing non-vector images to cut in Corel

yeah, I am a jerk. Howard told you a Graphtec will cut from Illustrator, & a designtec will not. Several other people encouraged you to get the real Mccoy, but you got the one that doesn't cut from illustrator, knowing that in advance... & then you're asking to cut from photoshop like you did 2...
  8. Importing non-vector images to cut in Corel

go away & learn some basics on your own & then come back with intelligent questions. If people don't go work in this industry for a while first, they have no business trying to compete with other professionals without so much as a clue what they are trying to do or how to do it. You got...
  9. Graphtech Vs. Designtech

geeez... 2 weeks later I check this post & you're asking that same question again??!! ...while my old reply doesn't take into account whatever improvements may exist in Photoshop CS2's ability to begin to scratch the surface of "vectors" I am sure Adobe will never bother competing with their...

the danger of machines that don't smell... is that you may think it is not emitting poisenous fumes. IT IS!! ...anyway, I'm sure you knew that, but for those who don't... VENTILATION IS A MUST for ANY solvent printers including "eco-solvent"

  18. Illustrator 10 .EPS file size question

send the cutpath as an eps file & the rest as a rastor image. It may be vector, but if you are using transparency to create it... you're cheating :Big Laugh If you have made new colors & new shapes through transparency... you could do the work to create a flat file with those new colors...
  19. Illustrator 10 .EPS file size question

nope... simple vector art wouldn't be a large file. Something is wrong. Re-open, copy the layout & save in a new page. Convert text to outlines... It should be a small file.
