I'm not sure I understand the issue. You want to run two instances of Flexi on the same computer so that you can use your multiple screen set up? Why not just run one Flexi and move whatever window you want to the other screens?
Please do not handle the ink or cleaning supplies for this printer. I would also recommend not being in the room while it is printing. It may sound extreme or I may be over reacting but the solvents in these inks do cause birth defects and all kinds of other problems such as cancer! Children and...
I would start with the cap top as well and make sure the pump tubes are not clogged. Also, I have noticed once in a while that an ink cartridge can be empty but not flag the printer as empty. This will cause one color to not print as well. I have even come across a cartridge that went from near...
Check with local dealers as some take in used machine for trade ins. We bring in a lot of ValueJets and Sp-300s. I have a used SP-300 right now that we are refurbishing as well as a ValueJet 1204. Feel free to give us a call if you are interested. 303-733-6671
Rasterlink is not meant to be a full featured RIP. It's freeware and is intended to get the customer started in the printing industry. If Mimaki made a RIP that compared to the industry leaders, they would have to add $1,000's to the machine cost to pay for the overhead of programmers and...
In Rasterlink 5 you cannot group print and cut files. The only way I can think of doing it is to set up the file how you want it in illustrator and send it as one big file.
Hit enter in Local mode and it will cycle through some information about the printer. A couple of the items you will see will be about the ink. It should tell what the problem is and which colors are giving the problem.
Mimaki will discontinue manufacturing the JV33, CJV30 and TX-400 printers in March 2015 to make way for their new line of printers and printer/cutters. They will continue to support these machines until 2021. Might be a good time to look into snagging one at a better price in the next few months.
Bad encoder sensor. If the encoder sensor doesn't send back a signal to the main board, the heads don't fire on a JV3. It's one of the only machines that does this without giving a motor error.
I just installed Versaworks 4.0 on a windows 8 system and had no problems. I know you can download the upgrades on Roland's site but I'm not sure if they want you to have it installed already or just need a disc to validate the install. Here is the link to the download: Roland
From what I have seen as a tech, below are the maintenance parts in order from changed the most often to changed the least and how often:
Wiper (3-6 months - People go longer but not recommended - For a few bucks change it more often than not to save the $$$$ head)
Cap top (~1 per year - I...
Take a damper and a cap top and call me in the morning. If you were able to run a cleaning and the nozzle check looked good for a second but then dropped out, you most likely need a new damper and/or there is another cause of air getting into that channel. Check the ink cartridge to make sure...
Well that may be the first time in a long time that Google had no search results. Did you install any new software recently? Maybe something that had some piggy back software secretly loaded? I would run MalewareBytes to see if you picked anything up off the internet.
I'm not sure how it works on Rolands but if it's anything like the Mutoh or Mimakis, your parameters could be corrupt. Usually the parameters are what tell the machine which version it is. You might need to call Roland to see if they can send you the original factory parameters so you can do a...
It very well could have been the head shorting out the fuse. The transistors do go bad after a while and I have had them repaired before. If you don't have the know how of how to fix it yourself, there are people who fix these boards around the country. I just had a USB connector replaced by a...
It's on the left side of the head carriage. You should see two wires leading down to the left front side of the carriage and that is where the sensor will be.
It looks like your wiper is not cleaning off the head very well. You should not have any ink on the bottom of the head ever if the maintenance station is working properly. Make sure the wiper is moving back and forth properly. Also make sure the wiper is clean and not bloated. If the top of the...
