When you are the owner of a shop title doesn't matter. When you are an employee it matters a lot. It's much better for a resume to say I was the Operations Manager or General Manager rather then I worked for a guy and helped make signs. The title says to future employers that I was deserving of...
Ahh a bulk system. That just made the issue much more complicated. Bulk systems are notorious for causing issues that look like bad dampers and maintenance stations. Does your bulk system hook directly into the ink lines or does it have a mid cartridge? Sometimes just raising the bags up a...
It sounds like your maintenance station is working as it should. The next thing to do is change the dampers. Even if they look alright, they could be malfunctioning and pulling ink up through the head. If that doesn't fix it, it could be the heads. Make sure your ink cartridges actually have ink...
I have been really impressed with the Mimaki JFX200. The price point is in your budget and the machine is really easy to use. There is no other Flatbed I can think of that has the same speed and quality for the price. Another benefit is that Mimaki is servicing these machines for the first year...
As long as that version of onyx works on your computer, everything should work. The printer doesn't care if the information is coming from a computer or a potato as long as it has an Ethernet interface and RIP software running on it.
Normally if you have a dongle, you don't need to transfer...
Anyone still using the Falcon Outdoor Jr out there? We have the black heads heavily discounted to move our remaining stock. Check out this link to get one for $139. These are the last we will be selling and there may not be a lot left in the world so it might be a good idea to stock up on one or...
In general Epson based heads should be 2mm to 3mm off the platen(not the material). Some machines do have an adjustment to make the height 3mm in low setting and 4mm in high but it is usually only used for printing on thicker than normal material.
Make sure your wiper is not stuck in the wipe...
I haven't had a chance to run a CJV150 yet but I do know that the CJV will be faster. The CJV uses a print head that is 2 generations newer than the Roland. Mimaki has also re-designed the user interface to me more intuitive than previous models. I believe all of the new Mimakis also have the...
As far as cutters go, you can't go wrong with a Roland, Graphtec, or Mimaki. Summa is great but the price point is most likely not in your budget. If you use Illustrator, the Mimaki has has a great plug-in that comes with the cutter. All new cutters will have software. Used ones should have the...
You can get a nice vinyl cutter for $3,000 but not a printer. If I were in your situation, I would get a vinyl cutter to make your own simple decals and lettering for trucks and window fronts. Then I would sub out the printing until you can afford a printer. I wouldn't trust a used printer for...
There is no way to do it without editing the firmware unfortunately. Hopefully they changed this in the new models that are coming out. You can take the back cover off and put a piece of tape over the buzzer to muffle the sound more.
Have you tried selecting the top image and manually dragging it to where you want it to print? In Flexi cloud there is a button you can select specifically for Manual Nesting but I think in your version you can just grab it and move it.
When running the limit position you have get the head to be locked so that the cutter will separate. Slowly manually move the head to the right until you hear/feel a click and then push it slightly to the left to make sure it is locked. Then hit enter and it should separate properly. It can take...
I'm not sure what brand of machine you have but it looks Chinese. The problem is that the cap top is too low when the head fires. Look in your menus to see if there is a capping adjustment. There should be a setting for how high the cap top is when the head fires the nozzles to clear them out...
Take the cover off of the back of the cartridge area to see if ink is in the ink lines. If there is no ink, it would have to have something to do with the cap top and/or pump. If there is ink in the lines, most likely ink is pumping through the system but it has not come far enough to get to the...
You can't move a window to another screen if it is maximized. Try restoring down (not minimize) the window and drag it that way. Other than that, I'm stumped.
