  1. Booze in the shop?

100% of the time there's Red wine or at least Port wine here. 90% of Fridays there's at least some scotch and/or beer 55-65 hr weeks here though and it's a pretty unconventional work environment.
  2. Learn me: 3M Clear Bra Application Fluids

I have heaps of wrap experience, but zero clear bra install experience. I have a newer porsche to do with a precut template in 3M Scotchguard. I was recommended to use 95% water and 5% Xymol soap solution to initially float the material & straight 70% isopropyl alcohol for any areas not...
  3. Cutting a Partial Wrap

As long as you didn't tent that and jam it in it should be fine. I've installed heaps of regular old A9 over corrugations like that w/out incident just by laying it all in.
  4. post heating question

Never had a problem post heating the Avery or 3M.
  5. What do you wish you would have known when you first started screen printing?

hahahahahahahah, I tell the same joke here. We did a glitter job 4 months ago and it's still like the entire staff was at a strip club 2hrs before work started.
  6. Best way to cut dibond AFTER installing vinyl?

I'd agree, the Fletcher goes right through that stuff w/ a nice edge afterward. I'd CNC the sheet, but that's just us.
  7. Source for Thick Acrylic Sheets (0.5 to 1")

Buy 4x8s and have them cut them down for you. E&T plastics should have an office down there too. I think it's in Ft Lauderdale.
  8. inhaling vinyl adhesive....

Try screening solvent ink all day like the gentlemen above me are talking about. That's the good stuff..
  9. Show quality

Also if you're not an experienced wrap installer I wouldn't touch a color change this extensive. Not with jambs and crap like that to be dealing with. It's hard enough to cut one of these right on all the seams to make it look like paint let alone piece in all that additional coverage they want.
  10. Show quality

I enjoy installing the Avery personally. The 3M to me seems to require more hands to make it go on perfect. Any lift ups all left lines I could not remove from the film with heat afterward which sucks. I've only dicked around w/ the Oracal w/ small pieces. I've used the 3951 and I'm not a...
  11. New Shop Car Wrap!!

    Install looks nice
  12. Ohhhhh, what a night......................

F#$%ckerware parties. Been to a few where the ladies are all inside and any of the guys that tagged along all hung outside drinking by the fire.
  13. .1875" Gerber Sabre Collet

Anyone know of an aftermarket .1875" collet that works w/ the - 7hp HF Spindle?
  14. frosted hell.

I always found wet installs on frosted to give the best results if the work is under close inspection.
  15. Heat wand

IMHO, Torches of any variety are a pain in the nuts to post heat properly.
  16. Gerber Sabre 408

We love using ours as a glorified jigsaw. We're not exactly a sign shop though.
  17. Heads up for all auto owners

    I prefer E85
  18. any good 3D rendering software?

3D studio Max is generally what's making the renderings we quote a lot of work from.
  19. Installing long stripes on box truck

snap a line, do them dry, tack it taught every 4 -6 ft and plow right through these.
