Can't you just mask off the rest of the bed? You would have to do that on a non HFV option too. My understanding is that the HFV version is designed for hard to suck down materials, like warped wood or warped cardboard
Was wondering from people that have a Vanguard flatbed how fast you can do a sheet of acrylic backed with white ink? I would imagine you have to run the white on higher passes
What ink set are you using? When I ran one of those printers we had KI and had the same issues. No matter what I did you would always see streaks/fingerprints. We changed over to KA ink and the adhesion was a lot better and it covered all fingerprints and streaking
We have a Acuity F (6170) that has 1.1 million sq ft in 4 years. Not sure if that's considered high but we also had an Inca S40 so most big production jobs that didn't need white ink went on there.
The Digitech Trufire is similar. Believe they use the same or similar heads. We got one a couple months ago and haven't been a fan. A lot of issues for a new printer. Always heard good things about the Vanguard on here though.
Was wondering if anyone else running WI ink in an Acuity F flatbed has problems getting laminate or masking to stick to the ink? It just peels right off for us. Even 3m tape won't stick to it
The ZE680 smells terrible as well. I really don't ever use adhesion promoters because my inks stick pretty good to acrylic as is. If it was easy to apply, it wouldn't hurt to get more adhesion. I was wondering if I could mix it with 99% iso since I already clean all my sheets with isopropyl...
Was wondering if anyone has tried both products. I have used ZE680 a lot for improving adhesion on acrylic and have never been a fan of it because it leaves a film that is sometimes noticeable in the prints. I wanted to try AP3155 but don't want to waste $100 if it has similar characteristics...
After posting this I found another website that was even cheaper than CentraPrinthead, but it was also from Indonesia. I knew the price was too good to be true. At least I can save a couple hundred dollars from DigiPrint
Has anyone used CENTRAPRINTHEAD - Your Printhead Solution for printheads? They're cheaper than DigiPrint-Supplies for a print head I might buy. Can't find much information on them.
Anytime I had a tech out replacing a head on our old 360, they would only adjust the screw connected to the printhead for the front to back adjustments. They always said they only do the left to right if you're noticing banding.
