I have been looking for a solution to clamps those cheap blue plastic piles do not work at all. At least for us.
How do we insure that we have the paper in straight? I roll it underneath and try to get it as taunt as I can get it sticking it across the lam starting middle out. Wrong...
I cant seem to get the kraft paper to be smooth. It has to be in the way I am loading it or I have to be doing something wrong? It will feed fine and about 10 yards or so it starts getting really wrinkled and makes an annoying sound.
It is just backing paper but it does have an affect on how...
Pat that is what I was thinking. Calandered should have worked it had to be in my prep mistakes. Honestly it did not come clean at all and I whiped a lot and there was always some type of dirt residue that came on the rag.
Maybe I just need to spend more time cleaning the seals and all around...
about 7 months ago I put 2 pieces of vinyl (I used IJ35c) on front windows for a salon. Everything seemed ok I went through a lot of papertowels and alchohol to get it clean and I THOUGHT it was clean enough.
Drove by there last week and seen that the corners are peeling up as if it was not...
So Pat is it suppose to come off really easy in your experience with it?
It doesnt fall off or corners peel or anything just if I get under it with anything it takes about no effort to lift it up. Just curious
what are the requirements as far as texture / paint for interior walls? I have a heavy textured wall and not sure what paint was used. I got a sample of phototex and it sticks better than anything I have tried but it still comes off SUPER easy. It just hasn't fallen off yet like the rest.
I...
Although I have not tried the knife-less tape way, to me it would be hard to make a 1/8" piece of tape straight and measure right over the bumper curves and what not. Sure you could just lay a piece of straight cut vinyl over bumper but it is not going to look right.
Not saying knife-less...
Unfortunately probably going to have to spend COUNTLESS hours making CORRECT templates.
Hopefully they are not like 95% of the stripes I have seen lately. Even from the factory they are bad.
I have their sample book as well it must be a older one though cause I only have 1 3D lam on it.
Looks awesome but have never ordered a roll to put it on top of a print.
Insignia.
With the avery should I be able to double up my print layering and print directly onto the media lam it and mount it? I seen a lot of people are using clear vinyl printing reverse and doing multiple steps.
I want to make sure it still looks good lit up but its such a big sign...
Good to know thank you. I have not used many Avery products but there isn't a wide variety for translucent that is affordable.
Does Avery make a cast translucent or should I be ok with calandered for this small sign? I do not like a large amount of shrinkage that is what I am worried about.
Any recommendations on a good printable translucent vinyl for a backlit sign?
I am looking at either the Oracal 3850 or the Avery MPI 2050. Any good or bad on either of em?
I normally stick to Oracal but the Avery is a bit cheaper they both are calandered only thing I notice is the mil...
For years and years I hated the fact and almost wouldnt accept that its is hard to get a print that has absolutely NO banding or NO graininess in the prints. I fought and fought with my printers, rips and software to try to eliminate it.
Fortunately the newer printers are getting better at...
