  1. It's good to be blessed

Halftone effects are wildly popular and that's the only thing that's evoking Lichtenstein. The style has no similarities to his style beyond that. It's a solid mark, you could build around it pretty easily.
  2. Adwords

I will throw a tip out there, if you're running a PCC campaign learn how to use negative keywords. It'll increase your ROI massively. However, as I said, hire a PPC guy or use Adwords Express. This is like anything else, don't bog yourself down learning a new career when you could be working on...
  3. Question on profit

Gino is on target. I'll never understand how people in every small business field are just so damn bad at the most crucial and necessary part of operating a business (setting pricing). There's a reason small business failure rates are so high, and this question is a HUGE reason.
  4. Internet sight

Why are we still answering this troll account like it's a real person.
  5. Cover-Rite polycarb 5mil

Anyone know of a vendor that services the midwest and carries Cover-Rite polycarb 5mil adhesive backed lam? Normal vendor is sold out until the 10th and we're buried in work that needs it. :thankyou:
  6. Firefox 17 won't load L25500 EWS

Yep. I just load it up in Chrome...I keep every major browser installed for testing anyway.
  7. New L25600 vs used L25500

Claritex? Great stuff. Have to jack up the vacuum but otherwise fantastic.
  8. I never feel....

Artificial photo composition is a skill like any other. If you're not doing it 8 hours a day it's going to take you a long a-- time when you need to do it. I personally would stage a photo shoot, but that's how I roll. You could probably find a stock image ready to go though and it would cost...
  9. sign business portfolio?

Okay disregard. Sharks like having remoras around.
  10. sign business portfolio?

What year is this...hire a web developer and have a professional website made with a gallery. Show that gallery to clients however you want (ipad, whatever). Let it do passive sales for you the rest of the time... If you're a shop and you don't have a portfolio online by now you're walking...
  11. Reasonable percentage for "Finder's Fee"?

As I stated, that's the normal scenario. However in the OP's scenario the lead wants to pass the customer on to the OP and the OP will bill the customer directly.
  12. Anyone know a good charity for the holidays?

Volunteering time is super useful and a direct way you can contribute, as you've already mentioned. Getting pissy that a charity doesn't want to deal with your inefficiency (via physical goods donation) just because you want them to is ridiculous. You don't let people off the street come in and...
  13. Anyone know a good charity for the holidays?

Hey look, I'm the exact opposite! Salvation Army is evil and I won't have any part of it. Doctors without Borders is an excellent non-profit, but whichever non-profit any one of you ends up donating to make sure to check them out with charity navigator first. Gino, non-profits dedicated to...
  14. Reasonable percentage for "Finder's Fee"?

Nothing in your scenario OP. They're using you like a B2B print supplier only they aren't marking it up and their customer knows you did it. That's their choice (and a weird one). Real leads, where the customer will come directly to you in the future, that would be the scenario for a finder fee.
  15. Advertising using Facebook?

Facebook ads have terrible sales conversion, focus your online ad spend in other areas. Facebook ads can be used to drive likes but that's top of funnel stuff that should be way down on your ad spend priorities.
  16. Adwords

Why would any of us list our adword keyword groups. That would be insanity. Hire a PPC company or use Adwords Express.
  17. best software for the newbies?

Best tool? A B.F.A. in Graphic Design from a brick n' mortar university. See you in 4 ;).
  18. Generating Proofs

Create a LTR template in InDesign with fields for customer, designer, date, revision history, etc. and in the main area place a PDF of the actual art proof, export the whole thing as a PDF with all colors converted to sRGB, downsampled to 96ppi, fonts embedded, read only.
  19. Tackiest wrap ever?

Looks like a matchbox car...which makes it awesome. Interior is junk though.
  20. Black friday!!

Best deals are on computer equipment and software. Now is the time to upgrade your networking equipment, pcs, monitors, etc. Adobe is also running a 50% off deal on Friday on their CS subscription option.
