  1. Help with pricing

How much will the market bear? Everyone talks about formulas and overhead and cost of material and... I find out how much I can charge for the quality of work that I produce. We don't want to be the most expensive necessarily but certainly don't want to be the least. After this I try to cut...
  2. Application Tape Application

US Tech AK-600 is what I have. I have never used it to apply tape, I use a BS yard tool. But as far as putting down laminate this unit has been excellent. I have not lost one print with this laminate and it is the first one that I have owned myself. I repeat that I have not lost one print...
  3. Application Tape Application

I use a BS yard tool with easy application and tons of luck on a 3/4" thick glass 8' table but a laminator would work well too. Let me know if you need an affordable one, I bought a 60" or 63" Chinese job for a little over 2k that I absolutely couldn't be happier with.

  7. Pricing Help

The formula that we use at our shop is to search the forum and charge 3.5x whatever Mosh would do it for. It has been keeping the doors open. lol

Looks like a profile issue, what profile are you using?
  9. Anyone want to join and barter?!

I traded with a restaurant for several thousand dollars. Most of it I used by giving out $50 gift certificates to well valued clients as a thank you. I would do it again in a second.
  10. Making Decisions - Banners we Offer

I said signs and I meant banners, that is what I make banners for.
  11. Making Decisions - Banners we Offer

I make $7sf signs (because I like it too), we include the design and provide our banners full color on 13oz with grommet placement that the customer desires and hemmed with banner tape. Takes about 10minutes for us to hem and grommet. We are not the lowest in town but take pride in the ones...
  12. CNC Lasers, Routers, Plasma cutters

Some of the chinese companies seem to be putting out hundreds and hundreds or routers, there must be lots of feedback for these units. Write the manufacturer and ask for the numbers of some American folks that have purchased the units so you can talk to them. I bought a chinese laminator...
  13. Who did it ?

So what kind of silicone would all of you hotshots used?
  14. Is this too Cheap??

Crap job unless maybe they were placing all 6 orders at the same time. Lay out the $$$ for storing material, holding costs, waste in front of and behind the print, do you have to re-web your laminator or do you laminate by hand, taking the order, invoicing, what if there is a printing error or...
  15. Need Help With Roland Crop Marks

I thought that the effects of Reggae and Cannabis were short term.
  16. Considering a logo change

  17. New Business cards

I think that the point size on the back side is too large on the name, title, phone.... the cont looks very condensed. Non condensed and smaller will look better I think and the added negative space will only add to the design. 2 cents
  18. Josh - BIGFISH (Shouting!!!)

I think that secretly he must be an ***; Every time that I get treated this well some big shoe drops and blammo! A while back I actually had a slight issue with one of my orders with him and I really like the way that he handled it. Good products, good service and good prices. I think we will...
  19. here are some business card fronts for you to unleash your wrath on

The name might appeal to your bros or the sideways, flat billed hat wearing wrap installers but it is going to appeal to very few business owners in need of marketing assistance done by a professional. I don't thing sign shops need to look stiff but I am always amazed at the use of grunge...
  20. Chalky Painted Surfaces?

On the old fiberglass trick you can buff it out with some compound or you might try washing it then rubbing straight penetrol into it with a rag, wait 5 min and buff off excess with a clean rag. You do not want any excess to dry or you could have issues. I don't know how long you would have to...
