  1. Spider Feet?

I got a set of mid- size a while back for testing. First Impressions where not great but I can see the potential for certain applications. 1/2" sintra would probably work pretty good as long as they are not in the wind. Also recommend screwing the feet to the substrate.
  2. Vinyl Install Class???

Mickey, I am going to assume this was either a bad experience or completely waist of money. I hear you loud and clear Fred. In the past, I've always found it easier to train someone green. You don't have to break any bad habits. So, does this mean there's no such a thing????
  3. Vinyl Install Class???

Ooops, I should clarify. I'm pretty comfortable installing vinyl on just about anything. Problem is that I can't find the time to do everything so I'd like to hire someone to do installs. I also don't have the time to train anyone either. Any good installer in town already has a job. In...
  4. Vinyl Install Class???

I've seen lots of adds for vehicle wrap classes but is there such a thing as just an all around, general install class?
  5. Newest way for women to look stupid

do they make one for beer(s)???
  6. Have you ever made a large Move for work.

That's quite a problem you've got there. I've moved across the country several times. Both with a partner and without. It sounds like the work situation will be the easiest part to deal with. It's all the other stuff that is difficult - YET FUN & EXCITING. Will you like your new area? What...
  7. Double Sided Printing on a Wide Format

+1 I also print my double sided prints with the "centre on media" button checked.
  8. Problem Printing Toward Far Edge

+1 with Malkin. You can also try to rotate the same image to see what's happening. If problem persists after cleaning the encoder, I would suspect the flex cable.
  9. Cut or not to cut ??

I'm with Gino. Beers all around!!! I'm glad this worked out for you. Cheers
  10. Cut or not to cut ??

Yup, your boss needs to buy you a big enough table. At least 8 -10' long and little bit wider than your media. IE, if you have a 54" printer, you should have at least a 55" wide table. I use tempered glass for my table top. I like it a lot but I'm sure others don't. Cutting matts also work...
  11. Point of sale / accounting software.

Just talked to a friend/sign guy today and his company is about to pull the trigger on cyrious software. He was very exited about it and he figured it could do everything they need.
  12. Thinking about getting a new Solvent Printer

OK, so I didn't read the entire thread but I have to say that I absolutely love my Roland SolJet PRO III. Great prints, good speed, low maintenance and it also cuts. I'd buy another one in a heart beat. BUT, I heard from a little birdie that the Pro IV is due to come out in the fall. Might...
  13. Should we be worried?

Should I be worried about second hand radiation?
  14. Looking to buy laminator

Get a 54" cold laminator. I did the Royal Sovereign for the price point. You'll thank me later. Seriously, 54".
  15. designing for billboards

Not sure if this helps, but the iphone app "SignGuru" has a great viewing distance chart that I refer to on a regular basis.
  16. Time Flies....

Puerto Vallarta is nice but the Mayan Riviera is so much nicer and well worth the extra cost. If you decide to do the Alaskan cruise, you will most likely be in Vancouver for a day or two. PM me and maybe i can tour you around a little. Here's my advice to you. No matter where you go...
  17. Roland Color Rip + CS5 = wrong size?

I think I just had this same problem as you. In versaworks there's a setting for EPS margin. Mine is set to 0.02. It adds that 0.02 to both sides of the print and scales it accordingly. I freaked out for a while trying to figure out why my prints where reading the wrong size. I did a test...
  18. Seal 62 Ultra not going into forward or reverse

Is there anything blocking the the safety sensor? Not sure how that model is configured but it may also be a blown fuse.
  19. I think I know the answer...

LOL. When good typos go bad. I'm don't know if head will help with your vinyl problems, but I'm sure YOU will feel better afterwards...
  20. Logo for Family business

I like it but I think I like my version better. Sorry, couldn't resist.
