I have to mention this will void your warranty.
  2. How much area around.....

Make a drawing of the space to fit everything you think you will need, double it and that should do you for the first year. I find the space hog is the laminator, especially when board mounting. Oh and don't forget the dog bed.
  3. Vp540 service manual request!!!!

oooh ditto that. Rare as hens teeth.
  4. Roland general questions???

You only really learn when things go wrong, but the Rolands are great workhorses. I have had mine for six months, take every opportunity to learn. The only time I have needed high head height is on mesh banner, use those long media bars though. they are a lifesaver. Tomorrow I have a go at...

  6. New member, has problem

Welcome to the boards. It's always a question of where the buck stops. If something goes wrong we always cover our customers. This is strange since our suppliers only go so far as replacing bad material. Thank you for the information, I'll add MacTac to the Avery list. You only get one...
  7. Versaworks errors when I press print

I encountered just this last night. Cleared the queue Restarted everything, dropped the file back in and everything worked again. I agree with file corruption in the queue, I see it a lot especially with multiple grouped files.
  8. Hi from forbes 3rd fastest dieing city in U.S.

again with the vp540 and a RS 54" cold laminator. They make a nice couple. Welcome from the cold part of Canada.
  9. material width overide

figured it out. it was the placing of the pinch rollers that tell the printer how wide the material is. Here I was looking for some sort of clever scanning device.
  10. Versaworks 3.0 chokes

I'm getting the same issue, however it happens when I'm doing two things at once, say trying to open a files job settings while another is ripping. It can be a little flakey, and I think it may be getting slightly worse with time... or that could just be me getting more grumpy with time.
  11. material width overide

I have a VP540, I have a roll of 27 inch perf, I have a job 25 inches wide. I have a deadline to ship before Christmas. My problems is when the printer reads the Media Width it pings up with 21.1 inches. My print is cut off many inches short. Is there a wise man (or woman) who can tell me...

whats the cost per foot printer on pappier?
  13. Too cheap for a take-up reel

Sitting here babysitting my VP540, wishing I had sprung for the take-up reel. I was wondering if some genius on signs 101 had come up with something that could do the job that could be built out of spare cores and release tape. Phew, I also need to build that extractor fan too.
  14. Anyone print to a Versacamm directly from Corel?

Strange, people have a lot of trouble with Roland and the later versions of Corel.
  15. Eco Solvant Ink Fumes?

Hey a few years ago they said smoking was good for you. I have a new Roland, I have to open the door when it's a big run. However with winter on the doorstep I'll have to get creative with a bathroom fan and some ducting. I taste it myself, in low doses it's the smell of money, but when it gets...

  17. Job Due Tonight! VP540 Problem

Could be a heat thing. Try shutdown, have a cofee then see if it's back. That grey tone is so fine, just 1% red/cyan could tilt it.
  18. VP540 (new user)

wondering about the photoshop cutting path myself...mainly why do it that way? It's a lot of work and you still need illustrator. Got to get illustrator or similar.
  19. Signs 101 mobile?

I'm just about to pick up a Dare... is it okay? heard the browser was so so.
