  3. wrap design critique....

Man do I hate midde-state hunter stuff, thanks for taking those jobs :P. So many WI vendors here it's amazing. Agreeing with most above that your textures are fighting each other making the text less legible than it could be. The viewer eye needs a primary focal point to be drawn to immediately...

  8. Logo help, please!

Looks great but is are those birds stock art or did you draw them? If the later, really nice. Stock art in logos is a no-no as if the client ever tries to trademark the logo they won't be able to, and most stock art licensing precludes use in logos.
  9. Bosses sometimes...

I've always found that anytime you try to reduce the complexity of something for a customer just because you think it'll be too expensive for them is a potential mistake. Reducing complexity for other reasons is more valid but you shouldn't be afraid of a lot of hard work if they're willing to...

It shouldn't, a business that's trying to grow often has debt equal to (or much much higher) it's 1 year gross revenue. Governments are no different. The public debt level and ceiling debates were all politics. Founding fathers on necessity of public debt...
  12. Adobe Edge preview

Flash can't be viewed on a huge amount of mobile phones, mobile development is where all the heat is in web dev. That alone is killing it as a web UI platform. Games for Facebook? Sure. Note that it took a long ass time for HTML4 standards to sink into the lowest fruit but that didn't stop us...
  13. KFC Chicken

China 'only' holds $1.1 trillion of the $14 trillion public debt, that's hardly owning the US. Just enough that they're heavily interested in our well being. I could say a lot more but this isn't NHB ;P.
  14. KFC Chicken

People who go to KFC clearly. Have you seen America's obesity rates?! Besides he could be ordering for a couple of people that are already waiting at a table or something. Just seems like a pretty normal question asked at every fast food chain...

Not there yet but it's a very positive change. Squarespace is SaaS providing highly customizable templates using GUI editors and very fast/secure hosting (as it's SaaS...), just watch their demo videos or try out the trial you'll get it quickly.
  18. New day, New ideas

Great point but the Google logo is horrible. Point stands but...horrible logo.
  19. The 3/50 Project

Print it as big as you can and wheat paste it to the front door of walmart ;P.* *No don't this is a legal disclaimer I do not condone or encourage this action please don't hurt me walmart
  20. Targeted Monthly Newsletter

Sounds good. And yes every sign shop hears that one, client education is huge. An email ask at point of purchase is a good idea but make sure it's really, really easy for people to also add themselves to it on your website. I'm actually a fan of a landing page just for email signup conversion...
