You can use expired inks without doing anything at all. It'll ask you to confirm that you're knowingly using expired inks, then the printer will allow you to print.

Probably not far from the truth. The Trump organization has a history of hiring little guys to do big (for them) jobs and then stiffing them, since they generally don't have the capital for protracted legal battles.
