  1. Multiple "Release Clipping Mask" on imported files. How to?

CTRL+A, mash CTRL+ALT+7 until your fingers bleed, because designers LOOOOOOVE clipping masks.
  2. Must Have Accessories?

A KeenCut (or similar brand). Shaves off SO MUCH time over the course of a day. A lot of the YelloTools stuff seems like it's gimmicky until you use it. Then you're kicking yourself wishing you'd bought it years ago. The LongReach is amazing.
  3. Suggestions Maintaining Humidity

They know what they're doing. They gotta have something to blame when prints looks bad. "It's probably the temperature or humidity. Oh, it's 50% and 70 degrees? Probably static then."
  4. Cast vinyl and Calendar vinyl differences....

Watch this video for the basics.
  5. Flatbed

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, most the places I've worked burn through coro so fast it doesn't matter. The only time we've had issues is when a distributor sent us coro that had been sitting around.
  6. Flatbed

Make sure you're using UV printable coro. DO clean your coro with alcohol. I'm not even sure what "hurting the charge" means, but if they're talking about some kind of static charge on the board to repel dust and dirt, you definitely want to hurt it, since you're about to shoot ink all over it...
  7. Is their a shortcut to toggle between two tools

I can't believe that people still use their keyboard for scrolling. I can't imagine using Illustrator without a mouse wheel. Using your keyboard doesn't seem sensible at all.
  8. Is their a shortcut to toggle between two tools

Very odd. You used to be able to use Page Down and Page Up back in the day. Not sure when that changed.
  9. Is their a shortcut to toggle between two tools

    Certainly looks like you can...
  10. Question Culvers Font Help?

I just used the first site that had an example of it, to be honest. We use CC, so that's where I go for most the fonts I need.
  11. Question Refresh my memory... Vinyl, Widows & Weather (oh my)

We tell customers we can't do it less than 50 degrees, but sometimes you just have to. If you do install in cold weather, heat up the surface as much as you can. Heat guns, lamps, whatever it takes. If you can't do that, clean it as well as you can with 91% IPA, cross your fingers, and hope you...
  12. Need Advice on Laser Cutter for Channel letters

3' x 4' is a decently sized laser, but you need to know more than the working area. Is it CO2 or fiber? What's the wattage? Any laser is better than no laser (assuming it works), it allows you to get jobs you might not be able to otherwise get and the sheer amount of things you can do with a...
  13. I Need A Mimaki Technician Asap

There's a reason I don't visit my relatives up north.
  14. I Need A Mimaki Technician Asap

I'm pretty sure he's managed to find somebody since he posted this almost nine years ago.
  15. Vutek 3250 secondary ink tank not filling up

Never experienced that issue on the H2000 or the GS3250, but definitely had the issue on other printers. You pretty much have to start at the ink jug and work your way to the heads. Somewhere between the ink and the head there's a problem. Haha! Sorry it's not more specific, but if you start at...
  16. Corel or Adobe?

I had to completely recreate a sign made in Word the other day. It was still ugly. Customer was happy. Oh well.
  17. iDot instead of car magnets

    That's a great question. I just assumed it couldn't.
  18. iDot instead of car magnets

Eco solvent, latex, UV printable? Does it need be laminated? [Edit: Nevermind, I was too interested to wait for a reply. Haha! Already on your website.]
  19. Vinyl won't stick to glass

I found some in a hospital and thought I was losing my marbles.
  20. Suggestions Need an opinion on used printer purchase

It wouldn't shock me if they're already expired and the previous owner was running expired ink.
