  1. Looking for Software Alternatives

Another possible hardware issue (I experienced this recently). If your CPU cooler isn't doing it's job (or even if it's got a liquid cooler and the pump is starting to fail), the built in CPU protection will throttle the CPU clock speed to prevent overheating. If that's the case, you'll need...
  2. Possible to apply Braille and tactile lettering directly to the wall?

I've looked for tactile strip / badge suppliers in the past (for a retrofit job), but every supplier I came across stated their strips weren't ADA compliant... or at the very least.. they couldn't guarantee that an inspector would approve it.
  3. Possible to apply Braille and tactile lettering directly to the wall?

Interesting... Having those pictograms cut out seems like a hazard. Folks running their fingers around to find the braille and getting a finger stuck / cut. Personally, I'd probably do a reverse print on clear acrylic, leaving negative space for the pictos, then processing the letters and...
  4. Printing on frosting....

Arlon, Avery, 3M, MACtac and GF. I've printed on those plenty of times over the years (previously with my Mutoh, and these days with my S80). No problems at all.
  5. Printing on frosting....

You can totally print on frosting... with a single-nozzle printer. It's called the ButterCream2000 Piping Bag.

  7. Font id

You're not asking for help. You're just throwing every job you get at us just to save on your labor. Clearly you're doing this for commercial purposes, and you've been leeching our time for 8 years without so much as a single contribution to our community or bothering to do any work yourself...
  8. Font id

51 posts, all of them font ID requests, and not a single contribution since you joined 8 years ago. Do you even try to do your own work? JFC Maybe try this forum instead: https://typography.guru/forums/forum/43-font-identification/ Or this: https://www.myfonts.com/pages/whatthefont Or this...
  9. Aircraft graphics

Paint is always the best / most durable choice... just not the cheapest or easiest. Hydrodipping requires a tank to submerge a part (but only "small" parts). Plane parts are way to big for any type of hydrodipping scenario -- and there isn't much you can take off a plane. Everything is...
  10. Aircraft graphics

Yep. very strict. I've installed airplane graphics for American before, and they were only allowed to use material the FAA approved for their fleet. They didn't tell me "which" media they used, but that it was something that's not available on the regular market -- I assume it was this...
  11. Need Help Where to source table top roll up banner stands

Yeah, I know what you mean. All the ones I've seen over the years are very cheap... except for a very nice (all metal) one I purchased back in 2015. At that time, it cost $39 (wholesale) + $12 in shipping. No idea what they cost now, but you might contact the folks at exhib-it.com and ask 'em...
  12. Camouflage Patterns

AI would work really well for that. Have you tried using an AI art generator (then follow it up with an AI raster to vector converter). Personally I use Midjourney + Tracejourney -- they both work really well and have more advanced options than what a lot of AI sites offer. It takes a little...
  13. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

Alternatively, hop on fiver and have someone add the design to the video (good video editors can make it look very realistic). A lot cheaper than a banner.
  14. Need Help anyone know these fonts

Yes. Old English, Arial, CG Times Italic... all very easy to find with free font recognition tools.
  15. How to install laminated window perf vinyl on the storefront?

A bit of both. Overlap during install, but then cut through the middle of the overlap.. removing the excess from both pieces... which gives you a tight butt seam. Seal all edges and seams like normal.
  16. new sign with an old look

Yep yep. I have considered that. :)
  17. Retractable banner top bar holder

I might have one from my retractable stand pile (new parts from various stands I tested out over the years, but not durable enough to actually sell to clients)... I can check tomorrow.
  18. new sign with an old look

It's staying outside, over the sidewalk near their front door. I would like to explore the HDU option if it's not too crazy expensive (maybe a 2.5" square tubing frame w/ a sheet of HDU attached to each side), but I imagine recreating the plywood texture could be a bit challenging. (no idea...
  19. new sign with an old look

Oh yeah, that'd be fun. I wish I had the creative freedom to go that route. :)
  20. new sign with an old look

Thanks for the info. Yeah... this sign was made super cheap. 2x4 frame w/ 2 sheets of 3/8" plywood on each side, hand painted and trimmed out. These days they spend a pretty good chunk on very nice signs / graphics... but this is one of their only originals. I wonder how one could age...
