green/yellow is "hot ground" for ac line voltage
without looking at the machine, your "cold ground" (the one you won't get a shock when you touch it) might be a black wire, as well as the exterior metal surfaces of the machine [the ones that cabinet screws go into]
damonca21 mentioned a green...
the "faint zapping noise" you describe is probably the 12v or 5v supply trying to start, loaded down by a short.
when you power on, the main board is not generating a "power good signal
nothing against our member, i am sure he means well. would you buy that head on ebay?
i would have to assume he was a scammer.
reference our thread with adam edge
add to that the fact it is an odd ball head
reference
for sure you should seal it again. but it has been opened.
problem is, you are a brand new member. no reason for people to believe you actually HAVE a printhead
with no hint of what version, what operating system, how much free space on hdd, how much ram, you don't give enough info for even a good guess
had it previously been working ok? did anything change?
i have been an amazon customer since 2003. (bought an ann coulter book)
been a prime member since 2009 i think (bought a samsung color laser for home)
i have been trying to find a computer or server memory purchase NOT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY A RETURN
my point being in 21 years, i don't think...
True, but it might be worth cleaning that rail, since i have seen many people oil or grease them, leaving enough residue to pick up dust and increase the drag on the carriage
you follow my thinking though.
i was wondering if the cyan in the line is thickened, OR if earlier prints had too much solids in them & what is in the lines, reaching the printhead is the residue, mostly solvent or carrier.
my mutoh MP31 inks need to be shaken daily.
i know next to nothing about latex, but, there is another variable
is this machine heavily used?
does latex have solids to come out of suspension in your ink?
would shaking inks periodically be an idea worth consideration?
yes, just fill out this simple 20,000 page initial application & then we can assign an EPA caseworker to your product and we can get down to the nitty gritty.
that has been the issue for me, as well. time i should spend on marketing gets spent on the next engineering project.
but I ENJOY my stupid re-engineering projects, damn it! about 45 years ago, a friend who was an electronics wholesaler always told me that the best techs were THE WORST salesmen...
Adam, you are too caught up in this (it was your money after all)
the other's input is proactive and useful. we wish you hadn't gotten taken, but you did...
most important lesson to learn: THINGS COST WHAT THEY COST
a good friend is a fairly big player in the banner business.
he has started using AI instead of paying residuals to the artists.
quite a savings. some of the images look "cartoony" until you apply the proper photoshop filters.
then they are practically identical
