Wow!
I will always start at the basics now.
I totally missed the misaligned pinch roller.
The Roland's I run let you know if a pinch roller isn't in its proper place.
Thank You Solventinkjet, I won't forget this.
I have fixed two of these.
Used two small pieces of ACM one for each side and a couple of small machine screws with nuts.
Going on two years with no problems.
Just take your time, it took me three tries to get it right.
I print battery labels for a local shop here in Florida. Only 200 a year.
No problems in five years.
Printing on Roland XR-640 with Eco-Sol Max 2 ink, no laminate.
I load up one printer with about 98' of prints then load up the 2nd printer with another 98' of prints then the same with the 3rd printer. 1500 linier ft of 54" vinyl per week.
I just finished some
2" × 8" for a customer.
Printed their name reversed out on White vinyl then applied it to .040 white styrene.
Slid right into the holder.
It's Hurricane season in Florida.
I give all my scraps and take downs to my friends and neighbors in exchange for BEER .
They are happy they have window protection and it doesn't take much space to store it for next season.
If you print roll to roll, printer prints head to tail, then you laminate that roll from tail to head now its ready to cut, head to tail.
WAHT IS THE PROBLEM.
I reroll every 100' roll I print to cut on graftec cutters manually in about TWO MINUTES.
