I'm deep in it on this one.
I've got a client having their building dedication May 20th with a commemorative plaque, and due to me not understanding Gemini's quote I did not understand that they had inverted the layout until I got the proof yesterday. Now they say I need to go bigger, change...
Our local Fire Dept has round black vinyl tables in their lounge area that are going to be used for eating. They want an 18" round "In Memory of" graphic in the center of each. I don't think decals would be a good long term solution with the grain of the surface plus the wear and cleaning...
We had a bunch of Yeti tumblers engraved. Most looked great but a few came back like this -
The rest are as shiny as that little scratch in the forehead (ahem...)
I'm thinking the lettering might be passable if I could get the main parts of the bird shining.
Anybody had to fix something like this?
I'm not sure which is the lesser of too weevils -
I'm installing 14" stainless fabricated letters w/ closed backs 1" deep plus 2" spacing. Putting the studs in the valleys seems like it makes more sense, but will it make the drill template much harder to use? Drilling on the peaks I just need...
20' into a roll of Arlon 4600. Inks and optimizer are in warranty. Anyone have an (informed) opinion about whether this would fail prematurely? I'm in a crunch unfortunately. This is supposed to be a solid color. The only saving grace is that it's covering a van window and supposed to match...
Hey all, I dug around a bit but I'm not sure how to approach this. I've got a 3'x4' 6mm alupanel sign going on a couple of fiberon 4x4 sleeves.
I've done lots of signs more or less like this, but they've always been roadside so a few discrete fasteners were no big deal.
This sign though is...
In HP production manager when looking at job settings there's this button.
No mention of it anywhere in documentation, and haven't found anything about it on the internet either.
After 5 years I finally bothered to click it.
It's a flucking ad. Takes you to their website.
I'm getting a RIP Error when I try to rip this and the lack of info regarding what the error is is driving me crazy.
Also given that this software throws "RIP error" at you, if you have HP Production Manager I encourage you to click help (which takes you to SAI website) and then search RIP...
The black bar at the bottom is the barcode line; it should be jet black of course. Printed a few dozen of these and the problem was fairly random over the total print. Replaced the black and the optimizer today. I'm 7ml into the black and 1ml into the optimizer. Any ideas? Look familiar...
I was gluing 2" aluminum angle to acm to make returns. Used Lord's 406/19 (not expired). Lightly scuffed the angle and wiped it with ispropyl. Same for the acm. Squeezed out a mixing nozzle's worth first to ensure full mix. Clamped for 24 hours. Today I went to move the sign and the pieces...
Used hardware store razor blades on old vinyl glass door lettering. Didn't realize I scratched the glass until just about sunset and then
Two questions -
Does anyone have experience buffing out scratches in glass? What have you used? What hasn't worked?
Where do y'all get your stainless...
I've got a local customer who wants brown reflective signage for a rail-to-trail path. I did a little googling but came up empty - anybody have an approximate Pantone for the brown the gubmint uses? It's only about 20 ft² so I was just gonna print it.
My cutter is about 5 years old, light use. It has just done this to two files in a row.
On the 2 it just slid down a little and finished the cut but the S is rotated 90 and flipped! We had problems before with communication over the network but that was fixed long ago by a CAT8 patch cable...
A couple of months ago I found a thread about attaching an ACM box sign to a wall, and somebody shared some mockups of this system they use where they make something like what I've attached -
the part that mounts to the wall is a single frame that perfectly fits between two angles on the panel...
I'm running an HP 315 with HP Production Manager RIP. My LC and LM expired a while ago and I thought "whatever". Recently I started to get more mottling in my prints in light areas, especially light greys. They've also shifted toward green. I read up on it a little and saw that the expired...
I've worked with a member here on Braille signs before, but he says that he uses Rowmark and they don't have a similar wood grain (all of theirs are much darker). I'm also not sure if the metal at the bottom came from the manufacturer or the retailer.
