You can get this material from other suppliers, Ultraflex still makes it. We buy ours from Fellers, I think Lexjet sells it also. Love it for retractables. Been using it for about 12+ years.
I talked to a Mimaki rep directly before buying it. They told me Onyx will run the printers, but functionality could be limited. Whatever that means, I am presuming maybe with the layering of the special inks (clear, primer, white, etc). He really pressed hard for RasterLink though. I have...
We just bought 2 Mimaki UV printers, JFX-200 and UCJV300-160 roll printer. We are in the same boat. Dealer knows practically nothing about Onyx and we hate Rasterlink. I never realized how awesome Onyx is until dealing with this. We have printed from Onyx to the Mimaki printers, but the profiles...
I've never understood why people use financing companies. Is it just easier to do? My local bank has always been easy to work with, and they offer much better rates. It also feeds your local economy and has brought me a decent amount of business in return. OP, maybe try another bank? If a bank...
We have used this primer before, and it does work great. The problem we have is the topcoats. What do you paint on top of this? It has to be oil based, correct? We have found that unless we wait 4-5 days, 1 shot paints react to the primer.
I have contacted a number of wholesalers. Seems like if it is not something they do regularly, and/or have the material on hand, they are very reluctant to take on the project.
We have a 60in Epson solvent printer, but we have had issues with solvent ink rubbing off during install. Sorry, I should have specified UV printing for this.
Looking for a wholesaler to do some wallpaper printing. Real wallpaper that requires paste, not adhesive-backed stuff. Seems like most wholesalers don't print this material. Dreamscape Suede ideally. I know about Indy Imaging, but they only print 54" wide material. Really need someone that...
We have had the exact same problem. Papers wrinkle, especially at larger sizes. The challenge is finding a material that is very thin, but rigid. Grimco's Rollup material has worked well for us. We solvent print it, but I believe it is Latex printable. Magic POS pro would probably work, too, but...
Anybody know where to get this material? Seems like everyone is out of stock.
We normally buy from Lexjet. I am waiting on call backs, but it doesn't look promising.
Looking for 54"x100ft rolls. This is the 17mil DURABLE type, not the thinner 7mil material.
You should use clear plex or polycarbonate, otherwise you are getting two layers of white diffuser and it will make the sign dark. However, the best way to make a backlit panel is to have white plex with a clear vinyl graphic that is printed color white color. Signs 365 or most any wholesaler...
I have run into this a number of times, where a customer comes in and either a local competitor or some online place will tout 8-10 year life for digital prints, because that is the life of unprinted cast vinyl. I have lost sales over this because I am being realistic. Oh well, better to do the...
