We have all the vectors you could possibly think of......NOT

If you are lucky that is a head cable, only replace with an original cable as the after market ones can be hit and miss.
Then it's the printhead itself.
Our printer had a similar issue and the only cure was a new head and cable.
Be happy that it hasn't taken out the motherboard as that is big...
Avoid doing KTM graphics at all costs read on......
About 5 years ago we were printing some race gear and clothing for a KTM dealer.
The issue was that KTM did not make the items he required.
Also the items were being used for publicising KTM and for KTMs official race team.
After about 3...
A banner in my opinion is a "temporary sign"
No way should a banner last any longer than 2 years.
If they expect any longer they should of bought a sign.

Sub tank errors are caused due to the sub tank bags not filling up properly.
It has nothing to do with unlocking the machine.
The last thing I would ever want to let happen is let the sub tanks empty.

Have had this problem a lot and I even changed out the sub tank valves twice.
Turns out if you are running a bulk ink system the bleed from the top ink tank (where you top the inks up) is not enough.
My fix for this is, leave the lids loose as this gives a little more bleed. I haven't had this...
Air release is either used for wrap material or in your case for end users that have no idea how to fit.
From what I am reading are these decals being used for a permanent decal or are they being used as demonstrator / courtesy car graphics?
Because using 751 is more for a permanent decal and...
I think your problem is not the printhead or the encoder strip.
It looks to me as if you have an encoder disk issue.
I am not up to speed with the 1204 but on my 1604 looking at the printer from the front, on the left hand side their is a panel.
Once removed you will see the encoder disk (Clear...
I have used Signlab for a long time so I am familiar with its workings.
I have recently bought a small 3d printer to play with.
Is their any way Signlab can create simple files that I can print?
Maybe like embossed company logos or raised emblems?
Thanks

When the head was replaced did you replace the head cable with a new OEM one?
These fuses protect the board and as said are usually caused by ink splatter short circuiting.
On very rare occasions the main board can be damaged.

I have never come across a "subtank high" error before.
But I can only assume that one of the subtank 2 way valves has failed and is constantly filling the subtank from the cartridge.
I have a 1604 and have replaced these twice on my machine.
SC
I use 651 as our standard vinyl and it should be well up to that job.
If its print probably use a cast.
But my biggest issue is that customers expectations are completely ridiculous.
I had a client in last week complaining that their vehicle graphics have not stood up that well, On checking...
Also the spring plates that hold the reader can loose their tension and need removed and bent back to shape.
I have had to replace the same one twice on my 1604 last week and even then on the last attempt the spring plate had dropped in wrong.
I still reckon it is something to do with the chip...
I have an ongoing issue with coming in on a morning and I have a Sub Tank error showing.
When I reset the machine the issue has resolved itself.
Personally without going to deep into the machine I suspect that the sub tanks have a sensor which either contacts or triggers this error.
Is their any...
I had a reply back from my printer supplier....
" The VJ1604X uses a newer version of the Epson DX5 Print-Head please note that within a ‘DX5’ group of print-heads there are many different versions developed for many different manufacturers/models etc s I believe it is different to the DX5...
