I think the label maker suggestions are your best bet. My concern would if they will withstand the moisture/cold. There are some spray clears you could use.

I have done side jobs since I have been in this business, as is common with most skilled trades. The only glitch here is she signed and agreement to not freelance. As long as you trust the employee and have a discussion about it and come to an agreement as AK suggested I don't see a problem.
Haven't been asked more than a handful of times in 40 years, for any product. If someone does ask I use the same info as Modern. The few times I've had a problem we fixed it.
We do a fair amount of etched vinyl logos, lettering and the occasional striping but haven't done any large panels in a while. We usually use 3M. But I have a client wanting some doors and glass panels frosted and since materials change so much I'm wondering what the preferred brand/material is...
