  1. Accidentally designing "offensive" logos...?

I haven't had that issue (yet) but when putting static cling sponsor decals on golf carts for a tournament for my biggest client I almost made a big error. The course's carts were fine, but the extras rented for the event had a manufacturers decal that I was partially covering. I forget just...
  2. Need Help Restoring Old Motel Signage

What the dinosaur said. Fun project.
  3. Need Advice on how to cut acrylic sheets with circular saw

Yep, definitely a fine tooth blade with lots of teeth, preferably one made for plastic. When I worked at one place we would have scrap insulation 2 or 3" foamboard to use as support while cutting. Helps to cut down the vibration/stress. Depending on the quality of the cut you need and your...
  4. Looking to buy a pylon sign build step by step tutorial...

If you have to access then something like Devon recommended with screws underneath and/or on top. And zooming in on that photo I see a screw in the reveal between the two panels and a black area that could be part of a fastening system.
  5. How to be profitable with eBay pricing?

 Why would you want to?
  6. Still doing some stuff 'Old School'

"first coat of White with a dash of Silver added" Wow, I hadn't thought of that trick in quite a while, used to know some guys who swore by it, I never really noticed an advantage, but did use it now and then.
  7. Free Equipment

I agree with both comments. It's worth it if you have or think you can create a market for indoor posters. There are lots of them around that you could pick up cheap/for nothing for parts. But if you're not into playing tech with it I wouldn't bother.
  8. Question Painting HDU

In that case you won't like my methods ;). There are many places that use all latex paints for HDU with good results. Go to your brand's website, they usually have lots of details.
  9. Still doing some stuff 'Old School'

Great classic look, nice brush work.
  10. Long Lasting Outdoor Fabric

Yep, awning material is the best bet.

  12. Smalt Glue

Yea, he's one of the one's out of stock.
  13. Smalt Glue

Thanks. Il looked on their site and didn't see it but sent them a message.
  14. Smalt Glue

I have a glass smalt job to do. I still have plenty of smalts but can't find my can of Holdfast Oil. It would probably be rock hard by now anyhow. My usual sources (Letterhead Supply, Quill, Hair & Ferrule) for either Holdfast Oil or Smiths Cream are either out of stock (Artisan, Nepco) or out...
  15. Neon Signs Masterclass

"scoff all you want, but neon isn't going away anytime soon" Who was scoffing? We were talking about how much time & effort (and $) would it take to learn how to do it. I know a local neon guy and he has all the business he can handle.
  16. paint masking

That is a big vinyl mask. Are they spraying it? It would help to see the logo. I have provided pounce patterns that large for jobs on tanks, never a mask. If they are requesting a mask they must know what they want. So if they aren't open to other solutions, I would quote it using the right...
  17. Neon Signs Masterclass

From what I learned I figured it would be a multi year commitment to get to the basic level which is why I decided against it. Back then there was opportunity to actually produce glass that didn't have to be "perfect" because it was used to light channel letters. But now the only time neon is...
