the relocation is a good idea.
another option is send him all of your scrap vinyl and then have him wrap whatever he can his hands on.
then when he goes to another shop, have him do an example of his wrapping skills infront of them.
we usually hand new people a hard hat and tell them to wrap it.
+1 to all that is said, staying local and from an experienced shop will help you choose the correct material and also help to meet those timeframes
on a side note, 6 full wraps in 3 months? how are you pricing these wraps either you are the only one in your area or you are the bottom dollar...
Personally, I can't stand painting so I would print, lam and stick then I would come back and trim the openings.
the LED openings are straight cut, so using s sharp scalpel will go very fast
otherwise, the use of a clear premask will greatly help in alignment
Looking for a vendor that does custom reusable stencils for painting.
ideally, a vendor that has the pricing online fo immediate pricing to the customer
current customer can't make their mind up and wants multiple prices for a range of sizes
personally I like the solid core panels over the fluted panels. since you are doing this with a single panel 2 sided application make sure that the substrate is as rigid as possible
if you go with the Alumacorr or Lusterboard make sure you use edge caps
Sign Panel Products | Laminators Inc.
we have Corel, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Versa Works and Caldera
personally, I use Corel - design, within Corel is WINPLOT plug in for plotter, Versa Works for wide format
Like Wayne said, each person has their preferences on how to get work done
since the frame is already made then we would use strips of alum 080 maybe 063 and then use pop rivets to secure the strips to the sign.
if we were building from the initial layout then we would have vertical & horizontal supports and then use dibond on each side so the frame is hidden.
we found that the start of the rolls, especially on the reflective materials, is very suspect to contamination and requires to be spooled off prior to printing.
looks like the printer is the cause, that is some serious banding on the black/brown color.
we also print on reflective and you have to increase the amount of ink being laid down.
this
we also have placed a black line on the front of the Rolands so when the material (vinyl banner, etc...) is loaded you can use a quick reference for alignment
thanks,
and regarding the dibond I miss read the specs the initial size was 60 x 120 but was changed to 48 x 96 because of the price
so the 700 is for 2 48x96 panels

signs365 is now doing printing, unsure about the sizes though
zooprinting.com - be warned their turnaround is questionable and it best upgrade if you want any sort of speed
I would STRONGLY suggest doing some research first.
sublimation (Dye-Sub) is not a new trend, doing the crazy sock designs are, and there are some MAJOR flaws with doing sublimation.
can only go onto white
if you try onto colored apparel it will change the color of the design and you cannot...
you basically answered your own question.
depending on the project is what you need for vinyl,
calendared vinyl is best for short term, yard signs, decals.
Cast is best for long term, vehicles, permanent signs
now with that said we have used 651 for years on certain vehicles and they...
