I'm glad you're working through this. Flush that ink channel several times before installing new ink and heads. I would suspect that with time the current head would have probably worked through the partial clogging. Since it's being replaced, no need to worry about it.
STS fried my Roland printheads. The only third party company that worked perfectly for me in my eco-sol days was Solaris. The savings isn't there on latex ink. The inks are very affordable and work perfectly. Stick with OEM. You will be chasing problems for the rest of your days, if you go...
I would assume it's like all wide format printers. It should be left on at all times, but should go into a sleep mode, but remains on for any automated maintenance.
That's not great. Does it do this with all types of material? Are any of the little black rollers broken? When you boot the machine and there is no media in the printer, does it still do it?
At first I thought it was your roller motor, but I feel like you have a strip of adhesive vinyl in...
The machine doesn’t throw an error, but doesn’t print. Before the machine prints it will run the "checking printer" self test. During this process something isn't passing and the printer cancels the print.
I've pinned out the new cable and the OEM cable, they both pin-out the same. Except...
Hey Gang,
I've been fighting a bad trailing cable for years on one of my 370s. Thankfully through various adjustments to the cable I have been able to band-aid it along, but it's finally done. I bought the replacement cable online for 250.00. The replacement of the cable went well with no...
My company switch from to eco sol Rolands which I was very loyal to. We changed to two 370 machines in 2015. I think we ran something 75,000 square feet through the two machines in the first month. I wouldn't have been able to do that with the eco sol machines if my life depended on it. Our...
I agree with the vacuum level being set to aggressively. Finding the perfect balance between heat/vacuum can be tricky. If you've ramped up the vacuum to prevent head strikes because the media is buckling, turn down the heat in ten degree increments. If you find a sweet spot on vacuum, but now...
You cannot redrill the jets. It's toast most likely. These things are made with equipment and research in the billions of dollars. You're not going to be able to redrill the jets.
I'm not sure why it would affect the main board, but honestly the recovery of the ultrasonic cleaner probably won't do anything to fix your problem. I've done it as a LAST step procedure to try and get jets working again. I have never had any luck with it. Nor have I heard of anyone having...
How old is the machine/heads? You've done what you can do with those heads in terms of letting them soak with flush in them. Some folks claim to have luck cleaning heads in ultrasonic cleaners, but I've never had any luck myself.
Hey all!
I'm in the market for a flatbed printer. I need roll to roll and white is a must. I know it's a PITA, but I must have it. HP sent me some samples of their 750, but the grain was too high on small text and images. Is there anything better? Speed isn't the largest consideration for...
