I used them for several years with great success. Solaris inks are great and don't damage the components of the printer like other bulk inks do. That said the UV resistance of inks are not as strong as OEM. The inks are fine when laminated, but for banners, don't expect the same resistance...
I print a lot of clear materials, so I need spot white. HP just sent me samples of their FB550. Nice machine, but looking for something with a gloss finish. Are there any flatbed machines that run spot white that have a gloss ink?
I'm very sorry for the delay on any updates to this thread. I've been busy. I will elaborate later, but the cliff notes version goes something like this.
I had some technical issues getting the printers dialed in. This is to be expected as the machines were new installs. Each time there...
Initial impressions and install report.
My tech came and setup the machines very quickly. Bulk systems had to be installed on the 360, and new firmware was installed, as well as 370 badges. Regretfully one of the machines was unable to start due to a bad heat controller board. HP sent out a...
I have a set of Solaris eco sol bottles. They are good new inks. I just pumped out my two Rolands and this is the spare ink. They are buik inks. Free to a good home. Just pay shipping. I'd hate to pour the ink into kitty litter and throw it out. Fine for another Solaris ink user.
I was an eco-sol user for life, until the third generation of HP latex machines came out. I wasn't satisfied with the technology until now. I feel that HP has dialed it in with this third generation. The print quality is amazing, as are the print speeds. We run a lot of adhesive vinyl now...
Hey Guys.
Does anyone have experience cutting perforated window film on a summa? I currently use a Roland to do this. The Roland has large registration marks where the summa's are 2mm. I'm worried the registration points will become lost to the summa since they are so small. Anyone with...
After you run a job, can you do the "thumb twist test". Put a little pressure on the print with your thumb and give it a twist. I would think it would delaminate under this test if it's peeling up from the adhesive of the laminate.
yeah, I love that an independent installer can buy short run vinyl for cheaper than I can. Considering I send Fellers on the high end of five figures in sales each year for the last decade. Screw them.
