I need some help with my Pro II 645. The heater unit on the the machine is not operating properly. The unit has power, and reads ambient temperature, but does not come on to heat to the preset temperature. Additionally, the preset temp blinks like it would if sub-power was off. Even if the...
Roland's stance is that you do not need to lube the rails. When I first had my machine, I would lube the rails once a year or so with 3-in-1. I believe this caused my bearing blocks to fail. I was able to get about five years out of the bearing blocks before they totally failed and needed...
We tape most banners here. With expensive hemming tape. Never had a failure or complaint in eight years. We also have a uniplan welder, which we initially bought for hemming banners. Don't bother guys. It's awful at hemming banners. We have the attachments for it, and it's a pain...
I had the same problem with direct bottle feed systems. Never worked for me. Since I switched to the float style system I have had no problems. Printing over night. No problem.
Keep extra carts around. The valves go bad over time.
These systems are not as reliable as a vacuum bag...
Great post!
:U Rock:
Rolands do not have a bag bulk system unfortunately. I used to run a tank to cart system (easyfillpro), that thing was a total nightmare. I always had pressure issues. The float system has corrected all my pressure problems, but the carts go bad quickly. Mimaki has a...
You're using the carts with the floats in them right?
They're crap.
I have a 12 cart system and the floats either seize up or fail some how. You need to replace the cart. I have been through 4 or 5 in a couple years. Which isn't terrible, but not as reliable as I'd like. I have taken...
I started with Triangle MLD on my Roland. Nearly destroyed the machine, and burned through heads like you wouldn't believe. Triangle always said to me that MLD was fine for my Roland. Now of course, they have their eco line. Needless to say I'm not a fan of Triangle inks. Although Triangle...
I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. It's very disappointing to hear "prints within spec", when you know damn well that it's not. When you print a test fill pattern, does the cyan channel lay down ink as it should? It looks to me like at least one of your heads can't keep up with the output...
I'm glad to hear that it is isolated to the TUR. Do you have a bent arm that connects to the dance bar? Is the TUR square on the frame? How are you taping the substrate onto the core of the TUR? Any chance the tension is not even when the material is first taped down? You've been around...
This is very troubling. I run entire rolls through my Pro II's w.out stopping. I've been looking at an XF pretty seriously lately, as my Pro II's are OLD (but still working fine). I'm starting to worry about these new flagship Rolands. Andrew, do you have any suggestions to rectify this...
I can confirm that this is indeed a data cable issue. I've seen it three times on my machine over the years. You'll probably need a tech on this one. It looks as though you have a blown C channel which could do as far back as the head board.
What happened to the machine before this started?
I have experienced this, and just the other day as a matter of fact.
Small drips can be caused by hairs on the heads. Larger pooling like this is due to too much pressure on your ink tanks (bulk ink), or an air leak. You are correct to try replacing your damper first. Swapping out the...
Use the search function on this site. There are several threads on this topic. Automobiles use blade fuses. Roland's use a fuse that is soldered onto the board. The fuses are small white rectangles. You need a multi-meter to check them. They do not have a visible filament.
