  1. Vehicle Templates for design - suggestions

Mr. Clipart has the car n' truck pro vehicle outlines for $249.00 through the end of March.
  2. Shop Truck concepts

Looks nice! My vote is for #3 if you put the copy "Vehicle Advertising Specialists" level(ish) over the front fender well, like you did with your website on the bed! There, my first critique:)
  3. Wall wrap

I used the 3M line of rollers and a heat gun. The trick is slow speed, decent pressure, 1,000 deg of heat and overlapping like crazy with the roller. If you go too fast, the vinyl looks streaked or glossy in some ares and not in others. I always try to make it consistent as possible.
  4. Wall wrap

What material do you recommend for long term graphics on block or brick?
  5. Wall wrap

It IS nuts! I don't think it's a good idea, either...but hey, what do I know, I'm just the installer! :)
  6. Wall wrap

I really don't have a good answer for that! I'm just the installer, so I put up what my company gives me. The colors matched up well - they just got a new Epson solvent based printer and profiled all of the materials they use. I DO know that 3662 is designed for screen printing and not...
  7. Wall wrap

Just wrapped this last week. Printed on 3662 for walls and 180-10 for the door.
  8. Horizontal-vs-vertical panels

I'd play it safe and go vertical, too!
  9. Yukon Wrap

I've had Kenyan lottery emails that were more readable than this! :)
  10. Yukon Wrap

Your post is kind of hard to follow...but any way...the sides were tiled vertically, no seams. One panel of vinyl per body panel The "hard part" was lining up text while stretching vinyl over door handles. The roof was tiled in three pieces and the hood is one piece. That's about all I got.
  11. Yukon Wrap

Just finished this up last night. I don't know who designed it, but it was printed by Off Contact in Toledo. This was my first wrap in quite a while and it was nice to get back into it...and I had the opportunity to use a lift, which beats the hell out of laying on the ground while wrapping the...
  12. Installer Needed in Columbus Ohio

There's a guy down in your area named Alvin. Wizard Graphics, I believe. Ever hear of him? He does great work! At least he used too, I don't know if he is still installing. It's been a few years since I've seen him.
  13. Magnet problem

Is it metallic paint? A paint guy told me that magnets will try to pull the metal out of the paint. Any one know if this is true? Do they even use metal in "metallic" anymore?
  14. Another New One

    Hello from Toledo!
  15. Greetings from Toledo, OH

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody! Klinger and the Mud Hens are doin' alright! I'll tell them you all said hi! Mike - Yes, I used to work for Off Contact. Left there to work at Jeep, then CSX, now SFC Graphics. I think I remember you...Image First?
  16. Greetings from Toledo, OH

Twenty-something posts in, and I realized I never properly introduced myself...and not one of you slackers busted my balls for not doing it, either! Anyhoo, I started in the screen making industry in 1994, got into vehicle wraps in 1999, and now do installs for a company in Toledo doing mainly...
  17. Ohio Newbie

Mad Anthony's on North 3rd St.
  18. Ohio Newbie

I'm going to assume you know about Mads?
  19. Re Drilling Holes

Could you ream out the hole with a dremel and a small sanding drum?
  20. Chevy truck gets 35mpg!

Baloney on the windshield. This is only funny when temperatures dip below freezing - and it's not your windshield that's covered in frozen baloney.
