If I sub out I sure the heck don't tell the customer that.
  2. Wireless camera for the printer

This is what I do for a living most of the time. But I charge buy the hour. The free customers are always the most picky and difficult to please.
  3. How to tell who owns the rights to artwork?

If its registered with the PTO he owns it no question. The vector file is a different story. You may have to create that. But for the money you are talking that's small potatoes.
  4. bomber nose art / pinup girls..

To help the OP IMO bomber nose art was mostly poor quality done by amatures who flew the planes but I think it's the style you are after. Now it depends on quality. Do you want clip art or more real? If real is what you need you may want to find a custom bike painter. Air brush artists will...
  5. Beer!

Yeah most are not worthy :) Serious. I love bitter brews but I can only drink one 22 oz bitter. I do enjoy the 13th anniversary brew the just released. Nice malty one not bitter at all. Like a Samuel smiths. Which are nice. For every day I like Full Sail pale ale or the brewmasters. And...
  6. roland stops printing!

Used to happen with my sp300v. I moved the USB connection to one on the back of the computer. Directly on the motherboard vs the front one connected via a cable to the motherboard and it works fine now.
  7. Paint mask vinyl recommendation

I use arttool ultra mask with urethane paints. It's not cheap so it may not be cost effective for your application but for custom automotive it is. http://www.iwata-medea.com/index.php/artool/masking_film It works in a plotter but only available in 24" width.
  8. Calendar printer

    Awesome. Thanks.
  9. Calendar printer

Hey Royce I think that is what I'm looking for. Have you used them? The price is right for sure!
  10. Calendar printer

Thanks! I will check them all out. It's for next year. so no real pressure. But he wants to send them out around nov. He showed me one his vendor sent him and he wants something similar. It was spiral bound but I think he would be open to any binding. The pages fully open were about 16"x12"...
  11. Calendar printer

I have a customer who wants to make some calendars and since I rarely say no. I told him I'd do it. They will be wall calendars with the spiral binding and a open to each month. Now I have found many places that will make them but I have no clue as to the best choice. He wants a small run to...
  12. Just starting...

The cheap one uses a servo motor and are VERY LOUD. The also have a "step" cut which is not smooth. As stated befor if it is a small decal you will need to clean it up with a blade. A used Roland gx-24 can be had for $1000 or so on eBay/Craig's list if you are patient and really they are the...
  13. QR codes - please weigh in

It's not a problem. They can have images in the center. They should have tried it it works just fine. If you get the Total Wine store in your area they put a bunch of grapes in the center of theirs and it works just fine. Still all that said untill it is more integrated into smart phones it...
  14. Who Likes Growing... Veggies?

Sounds like fun. I also grow tomatoes , a pepper called aji, basil, cucumbers, parsley and Swiss chard. Maybe others I can't recall. Oh yeah two types of onions. And zucchini. My wife gets to choose what goes into the garden because she is the chef. Nothing better than home grown veggies...
  15. QR codes - please weigh in

I have one on the back of my business card that sets up an email to me to request a quote. It's next to a list of services I offer. Also set them up to point to hidden pages on my website for special offers.
  16. Me and Illustrator are starting to get along!

My arm was twisted and I started using illustrator after many years of Corel. As much as I loved Corel I understand why people like illustrator. I keep finding Easter eggs that just are not in CorelDraw. Corel is still installed because if I need to do something quick last thing I want to do is...
  17. Power Backup

A 6000va ups is a good size. If you can get it for $250 that's a steal. Although the 30 mins you get seems rather long. Especially running motors. Could be though I'm not familiar with that ups and might have pf correction. If so that's better than a steal. Even still we install ups for back...
  18. Spanish Translation

Maybe cargos despositos. Which is deposit charges. Spanish is not my first language. If you don't get a good answer I'll ask my wife she is So. American.
  19. Power Backup

Tell em it's a dialysis machine. Contractors don't care much for sensitive equipment but life support will get them in trouble. Otherwise a very expensive ups will do the trick but will only last 20 mins or so.
  20. Wth!!!

Buffer overrun is from bad code. If there isn't a virus attached then it's a bug. Like a for-next loop that never gets a exit and goes until it fills the buffer.
