  2. shop room/work table finished

Just about to have a work bench built myself. What's a good height for someone 6ft tall? I was thinking 36" in height.
  3. Portable Heaters

That is such a good idea KW. Thank you so much. I think that might just do the trick. Now I need to hunt for a large tent.
  4. Portable Heaters

Winter is here and it's getting cold. Anyone use portable heaters during wrap installs? I rent out a section of a fairly large shop that doesn't have adequate heating. Making my install not a fun experience... Does anyone have experience in this situation and can recommend a heater(s)...
  5. New L25600 vs used L25500

Would you mind sharing that information? If I can purchase the 26500 for $14,000 I would go through the extra work of having it shipped up to Canada for the 10k in savings. Please shoot me a PM. I am very serious. Thanks
  6. How is this acceptable?

Just remember to post some pictures. Job turned out pretty good. Had to use seams and inlays on the bumper because the printer shipped me 54" panels. I guess I should have mentioned that I would like to install the bumper in one piece. Decided to lay one piece of vinyl on each side of the...
  7. Opinion between used Summa D140 and Graphtec FC8000-130

Awesome, thanks so much for the replies. I knew you can't go wrong with a Summa. I just wasn't sure about the D140 since it seems like the entra level plotter. So it should do well with doing fun stuff like the decals and stickers then?
  8. Opinion between used Summa D140 and Graphtec FC8000-130

Looking to buy my equipment soon. I found two used plotters for sale. One is a 10 month old used Summa D140 for $3,500 and the other is a *like new* graphtec FC8000-130 for $4,000. May add AKZ in the future if I decide to stop hand cutting PPF if it becomes a big enough demand. My main...
  9. That's not a sign... THIS is a sign!

lol ya it looks huge when you compare the guy next to it. Nice sign!
  10. How is this acceptable?

I can't that's why I have to purchase the replacement panels from the company who designed an installed the original wrap. The insurance company would not even consider the thought of paying for a complete wrap. I'll continue posting as I progress.
  11. How is this acceptable?

Thank you, I appreciate the honesty. That is the type of information I needed to know. The shop tried to get $1,600 for me but had to settle with the $1,200. Is that not a reasonable price for the repair? I'm curious to know what other companies would have quoted for this job.
  12. How is this acceptable?

Actually there is a lot of shops that do that seam. Does it look good no, but a lot do it...... $800 to re-wrap the van you are losing money bud.... Wow, I don't think I'll be one of those guys. $800 was material cost. Doesn't include my labour $400 for removal and installation of the...
  13. How is this acceptable?

I did mess up due to my lack of experience. I shouldn't have assumed the cost without receiving and actual quote of the materials. I used to work at the body shop so I know the owners on a personal level. Hopefully the adjuster will bump it up as it is not unusual for body shops to request...
  14. How is this acceptable?

Lol a 9' bug bug catcher! Sorry, I should have clarified. It's being paid by insurance and the appraiser authorized $1,200 for the parts and labour. I'm going to have to get the body shop to request for more $ now or I'll be at a loss. I really didn't think it would cost more than...
  15. How is this acceptable?

    LOL Observant are we? :ROFLMAO:
  16. How is this acceptable?

Got my first commercial vehicle and I couldn't believe how bad the original wrap was installed. The attached pics actually make it look A LOT better than it really is. The cut vinyl letterying/phone # isn't even straight. All the edges look like they were cut with a butter knife. There were...
  17. Lets see your shop! Post pics inside and out

Thanks so much for starting this thread. I love it. Gives me ideas on how to setup my tiny space that I'm leasing. Although I do get access to the rest of the shop if necessary. Printing/working room 18' x 16' currently being built: Installation area (excuse the mess): Hoping...
  18. My new toy

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the OP. Just envious...is there any way a Canadian can get in on the pricing in this thread? I just received another quote for 13k for a used L25500. How can there be such a large discrepancy?
  19. F'in customers...

I really like the design. Looks very clean!
  20. My new toy

You guys are so lucky. Up here in Canada, I can't seem to find it under $20,000!
