  1. Need Help Roland VS-300i Printhead troubles

Have you tried printing out a 'Adjust Bi-Dir' (Detailed Settings) and a Feed Calibration Test print to see if all is well in that area. Is Head Height on 'High' or 'Low' as I have found that a High Head height sometimes gets over spray on edges on my printer.
  2. Streaking / Banding?

Had the fisheye bubbles or something similar myself a while back on a new roll of PVC banner media and as the new media roll is tightly wound and sticks on itself there could be an electrostatic charge when the roll is unwound when pulled through the printer....so I usually roll out the media...

A bit late to this thread but I had a similar issue, but not related to this post.... 6. What would YOU do?

  7. What would YOU do?

Sometimes I have to face that Customers will come and go, do I like it ..not really as I gave them great service, but I have to remind myself that 'you do not own customers' they go where they like, as I am a customer as well and would not like being told I could not go to the other Computer...
  8. DANGERS of UV Printing

One must realise that UV Exposure is 'Cumulative' as over exposure for years / decades could end in disaster...I had an elderly neighbor who was a keen gardner, his vegetable patch was a thing of beauty...he developed Melanoma on the top of his ear of all places, it soon spread to the rest of...
  9. DANGERS of UV Printing

Sorry, I am not sure what type of printer it was, as this is not in my area of knowledge...UVB rays, which affect skin's top layer, cause skin cancer and most sunburns. Although UVA and UVB rays pose the greatest risk for sun damage, people who work with welding torches or mercury lamps may be...
  10. DANGERS of UV Printing

Yes, the way you are describing it, that does sound dramatic...but it was direct line of site as I could see the entire printer and the lamp working on the job, and the sunburn effect on my face was not imaginary...lol .There are other exposure hazards that should considered as well...Inhalation...
  11. DANGERS of UV Printing

Hello Everyone, Had a chance to work at a large Signage Firm out of town for a day as they needed an extra pair of hands. I was just set up out the back with a load of vinyl application work which was situated approx 10 metres away on a workbench facing their large flatbed UV Printer that was in...
  12. AIR BUBBLE in Ink Lines VP 540

I had this problem and the Technician fixed it by putting in a new damper, caps, trimming the ink line connection coming from the Ink Cartridges at the other end of the VP 540 Printer and then re-seating the join so it is a tight fit, as these connections can work loose / expand over time maybe...

  14. Soljet Pro XC-540 Clogged printhead issue

Glad to have helped to laugh the pain away....as above I have just had a new Cyan Head replaced in my VP540 by a Technician...I would rather have the Technician do this than do it myself....sorry, but I do not know where to buy them...you could try Ebay if you are going to do it yourself, but...
  15. CAR CARICATURES in PHOTOSHOP
